It's fascinating to see a whole city grow from a spot of paint! I love painting small European streets and landscapes as well, but can't imagine using a palette knife! People might imagine you paint loosely, but what looks like a swipe or a dot is much more controlled than one would think!! 👏

We just had the most extraordinary experience while watching you paint this piece... We were parked in our car, and as we watched, it began to rain...it was as if we were in one of the cars in the cityscape... I doubt that will ever happen again in my lifetime...??? 🙂

How do you record these timelapses, it seems your camera is right in front of the canvas but isn't it in the way for you when painting. Very curious as i want to make timelapses myself

Do start work on a pre-tinted canvas. One step ahead straight away. Not this big white sheet staring at one. Pays off in further dividends later on. See how it immediately takes on a life of its own. Happy painting everyone.

Newbie here. Do you dry in-between overlapping paint?
