Thank you for this beautiful documentary on incense ceremonies. It’s a door I’ve recently stepped through and am intrigued by all it has to offer me.

Wonderful video, thank you. It was a special pleasure to see the two men carrying Ranjatai, the famous aloeswood "log". Normally, photographs of it provide no idea of scale. It's huge! BTW, at 8:35 Peter Barakan is sitting in front of a display that includes 2 boxes of Nippon Kodo's Kyara Kongo, a very nice agarwood-based incense. Each box includes 3 compartments containing stick incense, and a ceramic fan-shaped incense holder at the top. (The shop shown in the episode, Kito Tenkundo, is apparently a subsidiary of Nippon Kodo.)
