I accidentally moved white the opposite direction in this tutorial. It was confusing playing 2 different people, playing upside down, and teaching at the same time!

Bucky, Question about bearing off. If I have a piece on the 5 point for example and I roll a 6 on my dies can I take that piece out or do I need to wait until I roll and exact 5 to take that checker out of the game?
@randallmasoner3 жыл бұрын
I thought hitting a blot to get off the bar wasn't allowed. Does it not have to go to an empty point or one they have pieces on?

QUESTION: Can opponent re-enter using both dice if he can?
@jakubnage14 жыл бұрын
Hey Bucky, these videos are super convenient as I have been wanting to learn this game for a while and even more so since you made that video about making money online playing it (lol). However, I was wondering where you would recommend playing online. I am looking for a place to play for free right now. If you can recommend a place to bet in case I get better and feel like it, that would be awesome too. Thanks.

Can you show how to use the doubling cube? I don't know what it's for :P

but surely if brown gets that piece removed, then it is being sent back the whole way to the start of their path... where as white is only being sent back a small distance

what is the big cube for? 8 videos and didn't touch it...
@tomy69176 жыл бұрын
That's the "doubling cube" that is used in a lot of tournaments. If you think you're going to win, you "offer your opponent doubles" and turn that cube to 2 facing it toward your opponent. Now, if you win, or lose, it will be worth twice as many points. If your opponent says no to the double, the game is over & you win. If your opponent accepts your double, he now "owns the doubling cube" and if they game changes & it now looks like he is going to win, he will turn it to a 4 offering 4 times the win/loss value. if you say no, the game is over, But, you have to double your loss because you had doubled the stakes (the win/loss value) when he had originally accepted the cube from you. Then you can rotate that cube to 8, 16, 32....in long tournament games. They're are other rules concerning doubling, too.

If you roll double 6's and a checker is on the bar could you move it straight to the 1 point and in this case push the white checker onto the bar? Like they switch position?

No, he does not know what he is doing or he made a mistake, or just made up a move that had nothing to do with the dice ... this tutorial should be deleted ... it's just wrong.
