Hey mate, nice to see you back at it, if you're looking for a relatively durable black finish your best bit is birchwood casey gun blue, I jse Perma-blue, but any of their bluing products work. Cheers!

Off to a good start rusty, that first one was pretty good for a first knife, if you haven't already check out Sam towns blades he has some great instructional vids, and loves his Bowies so you might pick up some good pointers

if you want that black on your blades use really strong instant coffie... then you can get the blade coal black :)
