Best tutorial ever Grant. Extremely easy to follow and loaded with great design sense and wayfinding side comments. Almost finished and feeling smarter, haha. Understanding the modifiers and keeping them organized is helpful. I made some mirror mistakes early on and was able to delete some bad moves later without exploding my rendering.

Hey Grant, I watched part 1 but I was unaware part 2 existed because the thumbnail was basically identical. So I skipped past it in my sub box since I thought I already saw it. It wasn't until today that I realized there were now 3. I'm not sure how you'd spice up the thumbnails but it's just something to be aware of :)

If like me you are struggling when applying the lattice modifier to your tiles, they seem to move off to the right and up. When creating your lattice do not apply scale, just make the lattice the correct size and then apply the lattice modifier to your tiles/ object. hope this helps as I was stuck for far to long :D

@@grabbitt I have no doubt I messed up somewhere, but the only thing that I could figure out on my own was the above :D, this was not a critique on the video which was very helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed working through it as I am still a complete novice.

When I went to copy modifiers to the tiles, it deleted most of the tiles on one side... super confused as to what would do that. I repeated the action a couple times and the tiles disappeared but not the same ones... Do you know if something with the order of the lattice in the scene list would delete them or something else?

what would cause the lattice tool to change between edit mode and object mode? I used the lattice tool in edit mode to put a sag in the roof but when i come out of edit mode the sag is actually increased

Have you accidentally got 2 lattice modifiers

I had the same problem and the reason for it was that the lattice itself had an lattice modifier attatched. Must have happened when I selected all the tiles to copy the modifier...
