Another great instruction video. Having my son watch these now and will work with him later. You give good perspective on what is going on. Its good for him to hear someone else talk through it.

Hey man, great info! Just started down the rabbit hole of dirt bikes at 32 years old and stumbled across your channel. Always wanted to ride, but sometimes life just takes awhile to get you to that point. Since you seem quite knowledgeable on the topics at hand, perhaps a video talking about preferred riding gear, places to shop safely and "wisely" - would be very cool. Subbed either way! Cheers!

fantastic ideas and glad you're enjoying the channel! thx for the comment. have you gotten a bike yet?

@@notsoupmoto Not yet, but started looking at Honda CRF250F from a buddies recommendation and corroborated by your channel. The "work-from-home/endless Teams meetings" life has me itching to find some adrenaline throughout the PA countryside, and my step-son has expressed interest in riding too. Figured i'd start here!

Can you do a video about learning to stand up while riding? When I try my bike swerves right\left and I have to sit back down to change direction, I’ve had a xr100r for about 3 months and have been riding a few hours every now and then, I’m great at sharp turns and other topics, but when it comes to standing up I just can’t do it!

Definitely a great idea for a video! Thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime, some things to help you out would be squeeze the gas tank tight with your knees when you’re standing. Most of the control of the bike while standing is done with your legs. Also try to lean forward almost like you’re hanging out over the front of the handlebars and over the front fender. And keep your elbows up with your butt back. Think of a horse jockey 🏇. That’s the position you want to be in. This will help you brace for the power when you twist the throttle. If you’re standing straight up, the bike will feel like it’s pulling out from under you and you won’t have control with your arms.
