I don't see anyone else mention this but having a white shoelace in one boot really helps keep which foot goes where clear.

Gorgeous. And thank you for jumping right in without the long winded intro. 10/10 🙂

This is very useful! For intermediate skaters to practice the basics and for beginner skaters to work their edges and to put this kind of sequence in competitions! Looks great! Thank you so much, hope to see more 🙌🏻

Glad to hear you found the video helpful! There are a few more on the website including some super hard one's, I'll post some more to KZbin at some point in the future too 👍

I really appreciate the demonstration on how the same steps can look so different with deeper/shallower edges. It is so helpful to see where i am at and how I can aim at refining the same moves! Thank you!

I roller skate in the summer and figure skate in the winter. Tomorrow I am going for this season's first trip! I will try some of these steps, not sure about the 3-turn though as I only seem to have a 50/50 succes rate with them.

Hello! I can't do the crossovers... is it because I am short? I'm 147 cm unfortunately... is this the reason why I can't do it or I just need more practice? I hope you'll answer this! Thank you!

I have a footwork question that I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere... there is a move I see skaters do all the time, which resembles something between a tiny waltz jump and a toe-to-toe mohawk. It starts on a forward outside edge and finishes on a back inside edge. Is there a name for this move?

So, you don't call an inside 3-turn a bracket? And, that's some wide, angular take off. But, hey I don't have the end of the blade in the way when skating the Rhythm Blues that has an inside edge to an inside edge. Because the wheels are parallel to one another.
@lkwunhyo3 жыл бұрын
An inside/outside 3-turn turns into the circle you are on, whereas on a bracket, you turn outside the circle. They are different turns and leave different marks on the ice. A 3-turn will look like a 3 with proper edges, and a bracket will look like a bracket ( { ) on the ice.
