John keep the racquet above the wrist does that get you in the slot.

Thanks for the great question. Keeping the racket head up assures a fluid racket drop into the slot, but in the slot position, the racket head is below the hand before advancing forward to the ball. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have questions. Best, John

Thanks John. It never hurts to be reminded of the beginners’ problems many players keep on life-support. I often struggle with missing/sluggish footwork, arming the ball instead of hitting from the ground up (the kinetic chain!), late prep, etc Cheers. Jeff

Good Video. Often I See Videos of students that don‘t need a Coach anymore. But in this one I can relate to the Student.

Good video and student. I happen to do same thing with the rotation as well. This should help. On his forehand, think better footwork should help a lot. Thanks
