I love how this turned out!! To get the hair to flip the way you wanted, layering the hair before curling might help for next time. I tried to do a similar style once and the hair would not curl right no matter how many times I tried. I went back in and added some layers and, boom, the problem was solved. This still turned out gorgeous❤️
