For top coat? Yes, you definitely can. Just remember the tacky layer needs to be cleansed with ManiQ Cleanser.

Can you show us how to do this nail with soft gel or is it not possible ?

You can do dimensional art and layer it between soft gel, but you can't build length with soft gel. With our fiber gel, you are able to build a small, active length nail, but anything longer than that, you would want to use hard gel like in this video.

If by base you mean the lower arches, Karen used the x cut bit to file there as well as coming back in with the hand file later.
