Great video dude -- I'm new to glass, only a few months into it ... I've been doing metal art for years and I often just did what I wanted and experimented so it's cool to see videos where people are just trying new things. the finished product looks great !

Random question is the glass that you put in the water still usable as stuff for junk marbles and stuff? When I pull stuff off I usually put it in a metal tray to cool down and reuse it for junk stuff

I suppose you could, but I don't think it's worth the effort. Most of the time, those little pieces are devitrified anyway, because they got too hot. Or, the whole reason I removed it is because it was already bad glass. I'm not just pulling the end to get a point, I'm pulling off bad bubbly glass usually. Wouldn't want to use that for anything.

Do you make your own murrini? And have you tried sculpted paperweights?
@jasmine25014 жыл бұрын
No I bought these. I can only do small stuff myself.

Yeah, that's pretty much the way I do them, too. :)

If you don't have a stump sucker I think it's the only way?
@jeannie2916 жыл бұрын
A stump sucker (and yes, I have one) is really for embedding sculpture into glass like the floral ones that Chris Buzzini makes, not necessarily murrini, but I guess you could also use it for that. :)

It would be a way to keep them from moving around when you stick the glass over them. I've been looking for a marver like that with multiple flat-bottom holes in it, but never have seen that. I tried a metal ring with beeswax, but it didn't work.

You can make one. :)

is the Millefiori the same coe as your rod ?
@jasmine25016 жыл бұрын
Yes it needs to be the same or it would crack. Everything in this video is 104 soft glass, but if you can find murrini in boro you could do it with all 33 stuff too.

Thanks! It's a Mega Minor running propane and two oxygen concentrators. Works great for soft glass, and small boro stuff, tubing up to 20mm.
