Wow, only two minutes into this video and already you have nailed my biggest problem. Funny thing is, I don't even play guitar! But after coming across your channel, I quickly realized that you are not like most teachers; you're not in it for the money, but because you really enjoy playing beautiful music and desire that ithers get the most out if their capabilities, so you teach good principles. I find they xan apply to piano, and pretty much any other instrument. Respect and gratitude!!

I am a victim of bad posture. Sometimes It cuts my practice time short. This video gives me some direction on a few things to work at!

Great video Beatrix! The biggest 'mistake' my pupils make is thinking they will improve by just turning up to a 30 min lesson once a week and doing no practice in between! See you on Twitch some time!

it will change once those pupils start paying themselfs. for instance, I try to prepare pieces to the best of my ability and only visit the teacher when im ready to ask specifics about where to improve and let the teacher find those tiny rooms for improvement.

30-40 min is a good practice duration, but not once a week. A couple time a day is ok. For example, 30 min in morning, and 30 min at evening. Every day, or at least 4 days a week.

I really like your instructional videos and this is another one that's spot on. I strongly agree on all of your points and I can't even really single out one most important one out of these, but "energy efficiency" may be that one. When you think about it, it applies to nearly all aspects of playing guitar: left hand, right hand and even posture. If your posture is wrong, your body is wasting energy to maintain that posture in comparison to the correct posture, which would be much more efficient and so on. The "hanging elbow" is also very useful for successfully playing clean barre in using the weight of your arm, instead of using force to press against the fretboard. I'm sure you already know that, I just wanted to add this for other players who might struggle with barres. But now to the most important question: where can I buy that guitar-shaped pillow?

I've seen a lot of videos about right hand. They all say almost the same thing, and this is good. I am happy, that I can see the right way of using my right hand for guitar. I am self tought guitar nooob, so I am rechecking and reviewing everything I do with guitar 😂 Don't want to develop bad habits or poor technique 🙃

My hardest to correct fretting hand mistake I make is wrapping my thumb over the top on some chords instead of keeping it behind the neck.
