Hi, thanks so much. I just wanted to get into mountain biking, went on KZbin and everybody was like “the cheapest bike for beginners” then they show a 1500 hardtail.I think this video deserves more because it really shows the things to buy while taking in mind that not everybody can buy 2000 equipement with no clue wether they like the sport/hobby or not. Anyways, good job

I’d say a floor pump is more important than a rack IMO. Making sure you pump up your tires before every ride to a psi of you’re liking is a great habit to adapt and one I’ve only recently started doing. It really makes a world of difference when you see how your tires preform within the range of 40, 30, or even 20 psi. Taking off your front wheel to put your bike in your car isn’t that bad, just make sure you have a moving blanket so you won’t mess up the interior of your car. Also I believe gloves should be a high priority item, getting bush wacked, the extra grip and protection in case of a crash are great to have. Regardless of my opinion nice video man.

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely use my floor pump way more than my hand pump!

Padded shorts are a must have! Even if they are super cheap

Are you talking about cycling shorts or shorts with pads for protection? Since I don't ride anywhere gnarly I've been able to get away with not having padded shorts. However, I do rock cycling shorts when I go for 20+ mile rides.

If you are looking for a good multitool i really recommend a crankbrothers m19, it is a bit more expensive than the cheap ones but it is bomb proof and lasts forever. Also it has so many tool you can literally strip a bike down with it.

Late night edits are prone to mistakes. I misspelled buy at the end of the video! 😎 Anyway, what gear do you recommend for new comers?

Some good sunglasses, sun and bugs can be annoying when mountain biking
