I got a 3 pack of safety glasses and most of my power tools at Harbor Freight for very cheap. The only tool I really need now is a jigsaw. I had a lot of tools already because I used to have a balloon decorating business and had to build frames. This was a really good video thanks for sharing. Also, I just want to say that I'm 61 and you and some other ladies made me feel really comfortable using power tools and I plan on building a lot this year. Talking to myself I AM going to use my Kreg jig that I purchased in 2010!!!!

your comment made me giggle. it's time to use that Kreg jig!! Thank you for sharing Estelle! so cool that you had a balloon decorating business too!

Like you I used to do a lot of projects in my apartment to make it more stylish and comfortable. After years of doing so I'd accumulated a huge box full of tools, most purchased at Home Depot. (Man, I used to love those early Saturday morning trips ☺️). I had emergency brain surgery and lost everything and I've been wanting to get back into decorating but have been putting it off because I couldn't remember which tools I'd need to start with. This was a great reminder! Thanks so much! Unfortunately the quality of tools they sell at Home Depot has dropped drastically, but now I can't wait to go shopping at Lowe's 😁 Thanks Dahlia❣️

Excellent advice! I am fortunate enough to have a husband with a garage full of every imaginable tool. Recently he switched out a lot of his DeWalt tools for Milwaukee (his favorite) and we listed those he didn't need on Craigslist and our local Facebook marketplace. All his tools were in excellent condition and sold in hours. Just a hint - check out local resources for lightly used tools for a bargain. And please note that while convenient batteries need charging so always have a spare battery ready. Thanks Dalia! 😊🦩🌴☀️🪸☺️❤️🥰

Here in the UK we can only use power tools up until a certain time, usually it’s 8pm and can’t start before 7am so i had to find different tools or ways of getting around that obstacle as i used to have jobs coming in during the late evening. Thank you for another great video, it’s much appreciated!

THIS was a super helpful video - thank you! I have ordered many of the items listed that I don't have. The exception is the miter saw which is just too big for a small NYC apartment. I'm considering buying a corner clamp to assist with the 45 degree cuts. I have found a miter box to be pretty useless to cut anything with a lot of width. I ordered the stapler. What size staples do you recommend. I intend to use it for upholstery and potentially for wood projects around my apartment. Thank you!
