You're 20 years ahead of me. I started running at 58 and ran my first marathon 21 days before my 60th. Running has become addictive.

Incredible how much can go through ones head in half an hour. So much valuable lessons not only for your running journey but for life in general. Congratulations on your first medal dude - you deserve it!

Hell yeah man, great work! I'm in my 40s and two years ago I weighed 330 lbs and couldn't stand being fat/lazy all the time so I started going on walks. Next thing I know I'm getting into cycling, then running, and now I'm absolutely hooked! You could probably measure my first 5K on a calendar lol, but now my PB is 27:46. I have done two half-marathons and am training for a full spring time next year. I'm currently running about 25 miles/week on average and going to bump it as I continue training for the marathon. If you had told me I'd be doing this two years ago I'd call you crazy! Now I'm 215 lbs (at 6'1) and feel better than ever physically. I'm calling it my "late peak", but better late than never. You're crushing it bro, keep going and keep us posted! You got another sub from me and I'm rooting for you!
