This is one of the best course on Excel. You are teaching what is needed the most based on your experience which is in my opinion the best thing about the course. I usually don't complete such long videos in one sitting but was able to do it for this course. Thanks for such an amazing content. Looking forward for new courses, till then will complete your previous courses.

Yes, we can use Excel in the opposite direction in the Arabic language in the Middle East, but we usually use it in the English language in the natural direction, even in the smallest companies in the Middle East

Been an Analyst fpr the part 5 years and Excel was my main focus and till today still is Excel. Work a lot with automation and developing VBA Appplications linked to Access file databases on a local server with few offline versions saw advancements on Salary 2 times from 9K to 11K and then 13K, you don't make much money in ... Portugal. Today I see that my tasks are slowing changing into the Power BI platform as it get implemented on companies from automation to lowcode with Power Apps and Power Automate. Something I see is that the companies I tend to apply evolve very slowly in tech and take years to progress, unless you are on a start up with bunch of money its seen like luxury having a pro/service account in Power Platform or just Power BI)

Approximate match for VLOOKUP can be very effective when converting numbers into two groups or some categories. An example of this would be if your lookup value was a numerical grade, you could create an associated lookup table that assigns the appropriate letter grade. The caveat with this is that the values must be in numerically-ascending order on the lookup table.

Great Video Shashank! I couldn't stop watching till the end of the video😃😃..... Another great stuff you could have added is "Flash Fill" it is like performing magic in excel.. Why i always advocate for people to start with Excel is that it is easier to learn and people can easily see what is happening ...unlike a programming language... When they are moving to SQL or Python or R... They can learn it from an excel perspective... At least they can remember in Excel they have seen what it was doing and then can easily relate it in in SQL/Python/R....

When you removed duplicates in column 1 and 2 at 1:00:34, only row 21 was removed, but in row 12 there is another duplicate? How does this function work? I'm from Pakistan, one of the places where we write from right to left. We just use the English numbers when doing stuff like this. I have lived a good number of years in Saudia as well, and although I do not have professional experience there, I do believe it is in English there as well.
@etchay2 жыл бұрын
I saw this comment on your recent Livestream, and realized that I might have said this confusingly and you misinterpreted it. Here in Pakistan, and most probably Saudia too, we just use Excel like you guys do, with normal English numbers going left to right. And yes, Urdu is written right to left.

Can SQL replace excel in data analysis? Like can one be a data analyst without knowledge of excel
@IlyaKhr2 жыл бұрын
Well, it depends a lot on a specific company. For instance, where I worked as a data analyst, I did not need excel nearly at all. The only purpose I used it for - was sharing resulting data in the form of excel tables. Talking about replacement of excel by SQL -- I do believe that solely SQL cannot replace it, since you cannot visualize data in SQL, you can perform analysis mostly only in the form of strict tabular data (unlike in excel). However, you can quite easily replace excel with SQL + Python (or some other programming language). But once again, depends heavily on a specific company "data culture".

from Bahrain, next to Saudi Arabia. And No, Excel isn't mirrored here lol. its the default way, plus everyone that uses excel here is usually fluent in multiple languages and can enter all the data in English.
@BakrAli102 жыл бұрын
That’s because most people install the default English Office Suite. But if you install the Arabic version (which I have seen few people do), then everything, including excel sheets, will be from right to left. Edit: Oh, and you don’t actually need to install the Arabic version; under Page Layout tab, there’s a “Sheet Right-to-Left” option. Plus, you can change the default to rtl in settings.
