Cleat hitch is incorrect and this version will jam, especially if thicker line is used. Beginning of round turn should be made on the horn *opposite* the direction from which the line enters. In this case, the line entered from the left, so the first turn should be made under the horn on the right.

Clear hitch also should be finished by making a loop with the tag end on the underside and pulling tight, passing it under makes things complicated and with large boats you can get your fingers grabbed

when tying two lines of the same diameter together, a square knot is ok, i guess. but when tying two lines of different diameter, a sheet bend is more reliable.

Cleat hitch is wrong. should go the same direction. When the line comes from the left side then the line should end on the right side not the same direction. This how I learned it.
