What a talented teacher, takes a lot of patience! Teaching is a skill, even if you can shred it doesn't mean you can _TEACH_ .
@Matthew-re9pb Жыл бұрын
Learned that the hard way...only had about 2 people ready to shred the hill after a lesson The rest were just happy to be out

Time to go skiing and snowboarding in the mountains in Seattle. Plenty of snow in my area.

So true about opening up and creating the core tension that makes your lower body want to line up with your shoulders. Don't underplay twisting the board to skid and that your feet are what actually snowboard

Point your hips. Your board follows your shoulders because your shoulders follow your hips

is the challenge connected to staying stacked at higher speed because it forces you to have your shoulder closed as you do it? let me know i’m interested in using it when i’m teaching snowboarding :)
@zoewegemer7846 Жыл бұрын
or did you mean by “something different” that the challenge is not directly related to keeping the shoulder closed?

Really good advice! Although i think it should be specified that this is highly dependent on binding angle. When riding posi posi, this totaly changes.
@Midnightfilmcrew10 ай бұрын
I agree 💯 but I think he's trying to point out for beginners which usually ride duck and it's a hard habit for people to break on a board.

Depends how you ride. That’s actually advances level carving form with posi posi stance. Can’t carve well with a duck stance. It’s good for ramps and parks.

i always bomb the end of the hill to the lift line/the lift so i don’t have to unbuckle But i’ve noticed as a beginner myself that having my right food forward makes me less likely to open up like that and since i’ve switched from normal to goofy i haven’t cought an edge

Went snowboarding the first time ever today, man I made exactly that mistake. Now I know better for next time I guess.

Cool lesson. Personal question: I'm mostly blind in my left eye but I naturally ride left foot forward. Can I still be stacked if my head is turned so my right eye can see where I'm going? Thanks so much.

Confidently pick an edge or the mountain will pick an edge for you, and that's a 50/50 chance to eat it

why you show at the back shoulder and say it's a lead sholder. I was thinking front shoulder is a lead, no?
