Pulling grade every scoop like I do for my first 2 outside scoops just giving myself a guide is in no way an efficient way to dig. You’re basically fluffing up the dirt, not to mention how long it takes to get a scoop... Instead of taking 1 foot at a time, take right up to the pin on your bucket. In this case about 4 feet. Then you are filling your bucket with dense, virgin ground. It’s not only the fastest way to get a scoop its the most you’re going to fit in your bucket.

Why even bench it if you only bench one side? Whoever ends up working in that trench won't be protected. Worker safety is the only reason for a bench
@efficientexcavationsАй бұрын
I mention at the beginning of the video that I’m benching the right side for a power cable. Nobody needed to be down there, we just rolled out the 1” poly from the surface. I only sloped it because it needed to stand over night

You should be hoggin with the bigger bucket til you get do first bench be fast
@efficientexcavations4 жыл бұрын
That’s true, but would be slower to dig the deeper part of the ditch as you would be side digging ... I actually prefer a v-bucket. You have the size and you’re not wasting the motions sweeping the sides down. You’re just straight bulking, no messing around with slope

@@efficientexcavations dunno if get what i mean is get too 1st bench with big bucket the switch out for 600 on lower trench is there quick hitch on machine?
@efficientexcavations4 жыл бұрын
Yup, I understand lol. Pre-bench down to the power cable elevation with a cleanup bucket (4-5’ feet deep) then switch to the digging bucket to dig the deeper part for the waterline. No I don’t have quick attach for my buckets

@@efficientexcavations ahh without quick hitch i can see why uve gotta use the 600

Wasting so much time and you don't even realize it. Sub par operators shouldn't make "How To" videos... smh.
