this is what I need to learn

Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, this is a powerful strategy. I try to teach players to lean towards playing aggressive chess, because sitting back and playing passively does not usually work. In my opinion, I think it's better to be aggressive and try positional sacrifices (or sacrifices in general), and if you lose, then analyze afterwards and see why your sacrifice or aggressiveness didn't work out in that particular position and try to learn from it rather than never taking risks. Also, when you sacrifice when warranted, you usually have the initiative and chess is more enjoyable to play as it sharpens your tactical skills. Good luck!

All your vids are educational, so I wonder if you might consider a few games of black plays the stonewall defense? I've tried winging it - it seems the moves are similar but not quite the same...

Hi, thanks so much for your comment! Great question, yes my intention is to do many speedruns on this channel for all kinds of openings for white and black. The Stonewall Defense is definitely on that list, especially since the first speedrun I put out was on the Stonewall Attack for white, as I think this opening is absolutely crushing for beginners and players at lower levels. The next speedrun I intend to do is on the Caro-Kann for black. I'm just getting started on this channel and right now I have about 50 things I want to work on, so I promise I'll get there. Next time I post some games of me playing live I'll try to remember to play the Stonewall Defense in a few games and upload those for you. Thanks for watching my friend.
