My favorite opening for white, I play it regularly and I'm 1500 rated online on the main site and I hope to reach 2000 one day. Thanks for videos. I subscribed immediately.

I have been enjoying your videos. Thank you for sharing. In your play list beginner to master series, are there a 4 - 9 videos? I wasn’t able to find them on the channel.

Hi Gary, you're very welcome! Fantastic question. I have done that on purpose. So when I start with a new client that knows nothing about chess, I go through my first 2-3 lessons just on basics, fundamentals, how to mate, etc. Then I have about 5-7 different openings that I think are best for beginners. In my opinion, it's better to teach a beginner 2 openings for white and 2 openings for black, so I teach a d4 and e4 opening for white, and a response to d4 and e4 for black. I let them decide which they are more comfortable as they gain experience. Then I go into middle game, tactical concepts, end game, etc. But here on this channel since I'm sending this out to the masses, I'm assuming almost everyone has their own openings they use or lean towards. Most people ask me about middle game and tactics anyway, so I figured I would post my lessons on those hot topics first, and then go back and fill in lessons #4 - 9 with the openings I recommend for a beginner. In fact, the next lesson I will post in this main beginner-to-master series will be on the Caro-Kann Defense which will fill one of those gaps. Of course I will teach many different openings and do a lot of speedruns on this channel after we get through the essentials. I will be asking the subscribers very soon what kinds of things they would like to see on this channel after we get through the end game stuff. I have tons of lessons ready to post if there is nothing urgent people want to see. Thanks for the question!
