Although I wouldn't consider myself a beginner, this video included a ton of valuable information and advice that no other geometry dash tutorial really talks much about. Thank you for making this since most other tutorials are really outdated, the fact that I was able to learn some important things I didn't know before watching is awesome.

I sure do love spending hours on block design!1!1!1!1
@vit124 Жыл бұрын
i did that block in 30 minutes tho, and i would just copy and paste it's details and even the entire block itself if i used it in an actual part or level, so yeah it does take some effort to come up with an idea and a good execution, but It's really satisfying when you manage to make your creations look good

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined (Joke on you, that just somehow unsatisfy to watch).
Great video, with one small critique. I’m surprised you didn’t mention optimizing object usage. I get the feeling that newer creators think high object usage=high quality, which just isn’t true: at best, the design looks messy and unfocused, like the creator isn’t confident in the design itself, and at worst, it causes severe lag and tanks game performance. As a general thing, I try to keep my structures under 200 objects (except with especially large structures) and spikes under 10 objects, and minimize glow usage, especially in fast parts or if the structures are moving.

In colour theory, hue is one of the main properties of a colour, defined technically in the CIECAM02 model as "the degree to which a stimulus can be described as similar to or different from stimuli that are described as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet," within certain theories of colour vision. Beginners at least know that hue and saturation exist.

This is the best video on block designs I've ever watched! thank you. I also wanted to know how I could practice building, should I jump into making a level and do the structuring? even if I have almost no experience? or should I do smaller practices like trying to improve the structuring and everything else said in the video, then start making a level.
@vit124 Жыл бұрын
I'd recommend you to try making entire levels, and always taking inspiration from the other creations you really like. Just try to make a level based on your favorite creations, basically. Take the best aspects of them and include them in your own projects, but ofc, using your own style for it (dont just copy pls lol) Also keep in mind that theres no bad level and theres always people who are gonna like what u do no matter what!!

This is super cool! And it's really helping me build better, i learnt that how to put those black outline things in your blocks as i could understand how extreme demons such as celestial force (i think) did it. I can also now see how lines are really important for block deco, which were similarly used in codex's part in cybernetic crescent. Finally i could use where you put the glow in your block as a guide to help me pinpoint the best spots in my levels to use glow. This was really helpful, thanks so much!

@vit124 Жыл бұрын
On pc it's easier to create for sure, since you have keyboard shortcuts, more keybinds in general and ofc a lot of creators mods and hacks willing to help you. Altho, I started creating on mobile and I do think it is totally possible to make a cool level on it (xender game created the eschaton on mobile lol) about the tutorials, I am not sure if there is one video that explains everything about the GD editor in general, although there are a lot of random tutorials spread over the youtube that do this job really well so you can try watching those
