I am recovering from back surgery. I am so blessed and thankful to have found your great educational videos. I get lost watching all of you create! I can not wait until use of hands is restored so I can pour again! Until then thanks to ALL pourers for keeping me from going completely crazy! Tammy, been pouring for a bit now, inspired by all you very generous KZbinrs....and as you have said....watch plenty, practice, practice, practice. Well the penny has just dropped for Dutch Pouring...thank you.....Inspired by this video, today I have just done the best DP. I discovered just as you have mentioned often, measurements are all well and good but the right consistency is the key. ALL PAINTS ( background and colours MUST be the same)...so your flow test on paper is a real game changer. Also mixing paints couple of days before, lets them settle I've found...also checking paints multiple times is essential as they change viscosity while sitting. So now, I take my time, mix all my paints/pigments first, add P/M, (then water to consistency, only after I have decided on the style I will pour) I find even the mixing of colours quite cathartic....thank you again for the great job you do on line.

I watch alot of these videos, but so far, all mine have had to be scraped off. I'm pretty discouraged at this point, but bought too much paints, so guess I need to try a little bit more. Great video. I have found having a couple of $1.00 store large plastic buckets with water in them to quickly wash any paint off my gloved hands and the objects I use such as spreading spatula, dry them off and can go to the next stage of a painting or even to a new painting. This allows me to do several in one setting, with one set of gloves. Thanks for all you teach us.
