I started this game last week and this is probably my favorite tutorial I've seen so far. Most that come up are "TOP 5 TIPS" kind of videos that try to cram in a ton of information all at once.

My favorite start is south 2, you follow the rock graveyard to the right and swim across the channel to what I call ArkRock Island as it has a giant A shaped rock to build a base under. From there you have access to a cave easy, nw. And metal nodes ne. Plus around 6 to 7 easy to grab explorer notes, beaver dam right by you and usually an otter in the water north.

I finally got this game for ps5… I was getting irritated because I didn’t even know how to craft or anything and kept being killed. Thank you for this video. Very informational and made the game less confusing

One thing to be aware of is if you make yourself too tall you can bonk your head in small buildings and actually be prevented from getting in unless you crouch lol. Great video MissV!

I've never played this game. But I got it yesterday and I plan on playing it when I think I'm gonna do is make the essential tools a couple sets of them at a time that way, if one breaks, I got back up either in storage or on me like the pick ax, the hatchet stuff like that. I'm gonna make sure I have extra. Saw I'm not in the middle of doing something. And it breaks and then I gotta run around looking for stuff to make a new one. Or take the time to make a new one I think it's a good option

you can also hold 1 to see what your missing to repair it while its still on your toolbar same thing if you have the blueprint to craft one on your hotbar

If your playing The Island map I just make a raft as soon as possible and head strait to herbivore island there nothing around there to attack you

Herbivore Island is my favourite spot on the map. Just got to watch out for Leedsichthys creeping up on your raft!

With all thats happening with Ascended rn and players still playing evolved, would you think its a good idea to do more beginner guides for each of the DLCs? Even if theyre short because of general knowledge but teaching aspects of maps, base building etc I think it would be awesome

I love the game overall but there are two things that should be improved: costs for crafting for some ingredients should be drasticaly lowered because some of them are really unreasonable and weight of some harvestables should be optimized because it's such a hasle when you need a lot of resources but your carryweight is such inconvenience and dinos aside from few aren't helpfull as much either.

The further you progress through the game the easier it gets as dinosaurs with high weight capacity become easier to tame. In the beginning weight is a struggle though!

Yes you can make multiple, and unlock blueprints for different types/sizes of storage boxes as you progress through the game

So yesterday I picked this game up on sale, I know of it but nothing about it. After a few hours and dying several times I’ve managed to stave off starvation and build a 1x1 thatch hut. I need help pls 😂 Ps. The first time I was attacked by wildlife it was pitch black and I was trying to craft something in my inventory so I backed out of the menu and started attempting to defend myself, only for my spear to break on the FIRST thrust and then my panicked struggle with a hatchet was very short lived

This isn't a dig at the game and I'm genuinely curious and interested in it but....can someone tell what the goal is here, what is it you're aiming to achieve in this game as I'm struggling to find answers! 😂 I don't want it to feel like Minecraft where I just ended up getting bored as there wasn't any real objective.

If you like progression, you can gear yourself up to explore caves and collect artefacts which can be used to unlock the end game bosses. To help defeat the bosses, you tame dinosaurs to take into battle with you. At its heart it is a sandbox game, so there is a lot of adventure, building and exploring too, which is why it attracts so many gamers from different genres :)

@@MissVadams10 Ahh I was wondering what purpose those artefacts served that I'd seen people try so hard to collect them! It all makes sense why taming dinos is so crucial now and I assume you gradually tame bigger and bigger dinos until you can take on those bosses? I am tempted to nab the Ark ultimate edition on switch after the massive patch but I will continue on watching these vids as I found this to be really accessible and easy to follow. Thanks for clarifying and keep up the good work! 👍

@@zrzmtz93 Yeah that's pretty much it! You can breed your dinosaurs with a chance of them receiving mutations which makes them stronger. Some people only play the game to breed dinosaurs as the whole mechanic is complex! Well worth picking up the game when it's on offer for sure.

When I first time started playing ark I did not watch any video I just downloaded the game and started playing I got killed about 20 times because I did not know how to equip an ax or how to basically farm or anything

I do NOT recommend beginner servers. They are incredibly toxic. Maybe that's just my experience but Ark on beginner servers are far worse than regular official

Hey! I used your guide to start playing ark but I’m running into a problem, in your video I see that Dino’s have high levels compared to my run (almost every Dino y find is below level 14) have you touched a specific setting for this to happen?

Are you playing single player? If so, locate your Game.ini file which can be found on your PC through SteamLibrary->steamapps->common->ARK->ShooterGame->Saved->Config->WindowsNoEditor. Copy and paste the following 2 lines: OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5 DifficultyOffset=1.26 This also works if you're running your own server. This will set the max level of dinos to 150 with level increments of 5 (in line with official server settings).
