This is my first GT game, the new GT 7 looks really intriguing and I'm having a blast. I'm still getting used to how the cars handle, I plan on getting the Thrustmaster T300GT wheel soon for them too

The driving school is too hard for me and I can't get past level 1 Edit: I noticed that something was broken and it was the reason why my car only accelerated halfway (I'm talking about this speed bar idk how to say that) Edit 2: I fixed it, I swap the gas pedal to X button and it finally started working. Now it's less comfortable, but I can drive at full throttle and win races! 👍 I still don't know what's wrong with my R2 button, but maybe I'll find out in a while.

I think most of the "useless" and "boring" stuff you mention is mostly subjective. I like just driving with my playlist in the background and trying out different cars even if its just in the Sunday tournament

i understand eveyone plays differently abd prefer certain categories or race, however please note completing certain campain races will grant you rare cars or limited edition cars that are more powerful/better in handling that cannot be purchased with money.

I'm one of those people who wanted more casual. I did want some more realism than the average driving game though. I didn't realize how terrible I was at driving until I got this game. I refuse to not give it a real try because I'm bad at it though.

If your using controller the game is way harder Becuz u don’t have much control over the car but with practice u will improve gradually I was rlly bad when I first started

yea bro what he said is true^^ get you a wheel and pedal set, makes a hell of a difference, also makes you a better driver on the real road:) Doesn’t directly transfer with the skills, but reaction time, control, feeling, the wheel is an amazing investment if you like racing

Right… That’s every Gran Turismo for ya. Sometimes you get burnt and need to take a break. I just hate when you pass someone (clean… no contact) and they ram you into the wall like you’re playing Need for Speed… gets better with S-Sportsmanship rating, but there is still those idiots that use your car as their brake. Surprisingly, I’ve never rage quit. I’m DR (C) and SR (S) so the races are much closer matched. But you’re right about that zen like state… when you hit a groove and you can fly from 8th to 1st. Or you just know you’re faster than everyone on the track. Start at pole position and leave the group 11/sec behind because you’re out of slip stream and they’re just bouncing off each other battling. I can’t believe I just got this game like a month ago or so? Sooo much fun and best GT I’ve played to date! I can hold my own racing and I generally try to race FIA rules when it comes to contact. But it happens to everyone here and there, but I’m not gonna ram someone because they’re faster as they pull past me. Drives me crazy when you watch the replays… like why is this guy a SR(S) rated? Anyway, sorry for the rant but I heard Gran Turismo 7 is coming out soon… definitely gonna get a Logitech G29 or G923 wheel setup!!! HMU if you wanna race sometime. Gregma80

The last Gran Turismo game I played was Gran Turismo 3 on PS2 which I loved the presentation even till this day and I love the soundtrack. I am getting Gran Turismo Sport soon so this was a good guide I am pretty okay in racers but I just wanted to jump in the new Toyota cars the GR Yaris 2020 and the GR 86 21. I was so use to playing Need for Speed games in the past but they are not that fun anymore. After Underground 2 the whole NFS series went downhill and I love arcade racers. I am in a point I want to play a bit of sim racing. If I want Arcade racing I can still jump back to Asphalt 8 or 9.

I haven't played GT hard core since GT2. After playing NFS heat and other games it's extremely difficult to come back to this, especially with the penalty system.

hello people, I am having a problem with driving test 32.....i must have played it 100's of times, watched videos on it......but i can't do it....i have no idea what to do. is there a way around it, or for that matter, all the driving tests? its ridiculous to be stuck on this for so long....i got a ton of great cars....its gonna be a shame if i don't get past it....any ideas?

Man, this is a simcade, all racers will enjoy gt. This set the mark bk on ps1, all other racing games owe it to gran turismo, who in turn pretty much all owe it to revs and geoff crammond, who also flight sims owe everything to. Gt a-spec is one of the greatest games ever made. And to my knowledge the greatest selling game on PS, Apart from that you did a great breakdown of the game.

GT Sport is the first GT game I've played and doing the driving school was very fun and challenging especially going back and getting gold on each course. It was super helpful and starting to drive with no assists early on gave me a much deeper understanding and feeling of how the cars physics behave

Nice video but I wish you would’ve showed a live race or how to paint or design your car. These menu’s are extremely vague and complex. Just bought this yesterday and tried racing online today... unfortunately I could only race Carts... came in P2 but I really wanted to do GT3... if you’re not using a wheel it’s worth it to learn manual shifting with the controller. Only took me a day and it’s almost muscle memory and I get way better exits... great video I k is this took some time to put together Lol. Also... do you race with the wheel? I’m thinking about getting the Logitech G29/923 but I’d have to get a rig setup for like $100 on Amazon. But, if you play more than one racing sim it’s probably worth it (you mentioned NASCAR) if not only for the performance advantage. I’m probably a better racer in real life than GT Lol... though I’m getting better. I love how every car has its own feel and you either know how to upgrade or you know enough not to mess with camber or toe settings. Such a fun game maybe I’ll try a GT 3 race tomorrow. Would be nice to just jump into a familiar track with a car you’ve just learned but I like how you said it’s balanced pretty well... obviously taking top end speed at Le Mans is a given. That’s nice it gives you qualifying time to learn the track and car as it helps people like myself who just got this game. Are you able to tune your vehicles for online play or is it just like, here drive this stock corvette? Sorry for the rant again... great video really helped me understand this overly vague menu at times

No it’s okay, I do not run a wheel. Also, in online races you can tune your car to a point depending on the lobby. Usually it just requires a maximum horsepower but sometimes it’s one make where they are all the same. I’m glad you enjoyed the video🙌

@@decafdoctorthunder2189 yeah I’m actually getting decent… no wheel yet but I have a DR-C/SR-S and I’ve actually won 1st place on a couple races using the controller shifting in manual. It’s made a huge difference learning the gears… helps you learn throttle control. I think a wheel would help for steering precision but I’ve heard the G29 pedals are just OK? This is probably coming from guys using real sim equipment so I’m sure it would make the game that much more fun

@@greg6162 I use a 10 year old Logitech Driving Force GT with an adapter to make it work on a PS4. A wheel is a thousand times better than a controller, because it is just like a real car. It's not like driving a real car of course, but it's way more realistic than a controller. Any pedal is better than a button on the controller.

get a thrustmaster t80 or if you have a little higher budget t150 for beginner wheels. The t80 won’t have force feedback nor 1080° rotation, it’s more of a arcade racer wheel feeling. The t150 does have force feedback and full rotation, that’s the one i purchased and recommend for this game. It’s awesome, with a vr headset you can play for hours and not even realize. Incredible

You can’t get them back because it’ll drop your SR rating, so you just have to deal with being angry for a while… I’m talking FURY OF A THOUSAND SUNS angry.
