My very first HHN was just last year, and I got to see 8 out of 10 houses! Little tips that I suggest is watching and learning what kind of food they'll have, what places are best to eat at, packing self-essentials that can help you feel a little more comfortable at the park, and always drinking water. I left with my family at around 2 am in the morning and it was a lot on my body, but it was worth it

I’m still a bit confused…. If I add on the “Stay and Scream” ticket to my HHN ticket - does it basically allow me in at 3 pm and I could potentially ride a few rides rather than just walking around, or standing in one of the haunted house lines, or checking out a scare zone in broad daylight, or hanging out in some random areas? Yes, this is my first time and I want to make the most of it. It’s been on my bucket list forever.

Stay & scream is absolutely a must. Especially if you don’t plant on getting express but still want to see all of the houses in 1 night. I also like that you can get nice and tipsy at the Springfield bar.

My early sept trip includes 4 nights to HHN, 1 night at SW HoS, 1 night at BG HoS, and 1 night at mickeys halloween party. pretty much a halloween event every night of the trip lol My problem with stay & scream though, is you have to stand in line for 1-2 hours for your first house in the hot sun. If you only have 1 night, then its definitely a good idea, but with my 4 nights, I think I'll just hang out at IoA till around 7 and then just wander over, so I don't have to waste so much time in a 'holding area'

My partner and I are going to Universal all of Labor Day week, with 3 nights of HHN. My first time/last time there was on Halloween day last year which I do NOT recommend unless you love insane crowds lol. Hoping this year we actually get to see/do everything. I had no idea that you could pick up your tickets at the hotel! I heard about being able to upgrade to express pass right before going to HHN, so I am going to try doing that at Cabana Bay. I was planning an extra trip to park just for that. This will likely save me some energy/spoons. This will be my first trip after getting diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. So all this detail is helping me plan!!

Stay and Scream is such an important tip, we passed along Richters Burgers S&S to everyone last year, being able to sit in A/C eat dinner and wait out the time was awesome. It’s typically just the major rides that are open like rip ride, mummy, gringotts, and MIB. I think transformers usually is too, but that’s about it! A lot of the restaurants stay open, but not all of them.

Thank you!! Not all the areas do, but they have team members that will give you a little like county fair paper ticket and let you run to a nearby restroom. You have to give them the ticket back to return to the stay and scream area.

Going to HHN for the first time and my daughters 16th birthday. So excited! Can we do all houses in 1 night? Or should we go for express pass / 2 nights?

Definitely if you’re going to do just one night, use the express passes. But save them for if you really need them because you can only use them once per house. So if the house has a waiting time of less than 45 minutes, I would not use them. We have went before and went through every house using express passes in one night. To really enjoy it, I suggest do two nights if you are able to.

How fun!! It’d be hard to do all the houses in one night without express! The lineup this year is a really good one, and we expect it to be pretty busy every night. In our opinion, one night with express or two nights without is pretty much a toss up, too!
