Great info. The closest I've come to oils...is oil pastels. Acrylics feel really easy to use, but oils have always seemed so complicated. Now I'm thinking I'll at least give them a go.

That's great Dana! You should, oils are beautiful and you can use your oil pastels with your oil paints! You should check out our other video about oil pastels and oil sticks for ideas on this. Also our next video coming soon is on water soluble oil paints, so if you are used to Acrylics you might like these.

Oils are fantastic once you give them a go! Our next video coming soon is all on Water Mixable Oils! These are fantastic if you don't want to use solvents and are used to using acrylics.

Yes, we love the water soluble oils! We are planning to do video on this very soon. They are water mixable not water based, but so great because you can mix and clean up with water and can also mix with other water soluble media too!

Any experience with Schminke’s Medium W to make regular oils water mixable?

Hi Nani, no we haven't tried that! Definitely something we will look into! Although we were talking to a supplier recently and they said Schminke is going out of Australia and getting very hard to get here, so will have to investigate that! Please let me know if you try it, would love to hear your feedback!
