GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS. Love how you explain the 'why?', but still keep it succinct and short. I'm hooked

Your shit is straight up badass. Its like letting an artist go into an art store to buy paints vs having to smash ladybugs and blue berries to put some color on paper. dope AF. I'll be buying this one for sure. Basslines R LIFE.

When using the Ableton compressor make sure to put the attack on zero. This kills the first transient which otherwise would collide with the kick.
@Boaugustin Жыл бұрын
or, use look ahead of 10 ms, so you can don't have the click if the attack is to fast and also kill the first transient !
@FurkanTopal Жыл бұрын
The bass is already sidechained. It can't collide with the kick. Giving a bit attack is even more advantageous for after kick also bass would keep its own pumpiness as well. But it's a matter of taste at the end of the day., depends on producer's preferences...

Trying this technique in the 3rd octave, but using multiple notes. I get to about 2 minutes in this video doing everything you do, but each note sounds significantly different with the timing. The first note in the bar sounds much earlier and oddly faster. Then the middle notes sound fine. I even tried key tracking on the filter. Any ideas?

It was so helpful! I'm a Japanese who is just now learning about acid house culture in the following video (the video is all in Japanese, so if you're interested, please translate) kzbin.info/www/bejne/h16XlYSaodCNp6c I am also a composer and often create synth tones with vital, but I didn't even know it was called "rolling bassline", so I will use it as a reference for my future tone creation!
