As someone who does Disney solo, I really enjoy using Mears for travel to/from the airport! I don’t like using ride share services when I’m by myself, and always feel comfortable with Mears being on my own. It can take a big chunk of time, but I don’t mind that as long as I feel safe and get to where I need to go.

Mears is an excellent shuttle service, probably the 2nd best I've been on, the first being in Greece. I always go with a transfer where you can provide them with your flight details, because in the event that your flight is delayed, they'll know. And it runs 24/7, that's the main thing

We used Mears Connect over a week ago to go from Pop Century to MCO Orlando airport and it took us 2 hours on the shuttle bus. Four other resort stops after our resort before we left for airport. Almost missed our flight!

This service is so much better than the universal one. It’s not only cheaper (despite being farther away) but it’s so much easier to set up. Universal’s has to be done over the phone no less than 48 hours in advance.

I honestly don’t understand but to each their own. I am getting an Uber or Lyft directly to my resort. It is not cheap enough for me to want to pay for a shuttle v. paying for an Uber

We used Mears the last week of January round trip to the All Stars Sports. It was terrible. On the way back to the airport, the bus was 20 minutes late, and after that, it stopped everywhere. It took 1 hour and 20 min from the time we booked it to get to MCO. We made it to out gate 15 min before boarding. Never again!

To my understanding when you book a return trip they ask you for your return flight info and won’t let you schedule anything less than 3 hours before your departure to account for this. Then again I also have not personally taken the service back to MCO for a flight. This is all just what I read and understood.

My apologies for not including that. It took about 10 minutes to leave after I boarded and it took around 30 minutes with minor traffic to get to my resort

To my knowledge there are busses that offer a wheelchair lift but not all of them. I don’t recall seeing a lift or wheelchair space on my bus. Service animals I sadly have no idea. I’m sure they have that info on their website when you book

A bus is such an antiquated and slow way to get to the parks with Uber now if it were free that be different

If you are in no hurry use Mears. More than 45 minutes from clearing the kiosk and still no bus arrival. Pay the extra and have an Uber waiting. Update: 30 minutes after my original comment and sitting on the bus at the Gaylord (first stop)to drop off one person. We are sitting behind several cars that are unloading.

It was probably just one of those one-off incidents. But most of the time there's always a bus at the pick-up point, sometimes you just need to be prepared to wait if there isn't one there. I know a lot of people like to use an Uber, but the downside to that is, depending on what time it is, a single Uber could end up costing you the same amount of a round trip with Mears Connect. At least with Mears, you know how much you're paying when you book it online, no surge pricing involved

We used to take the magical express from the airport to DW. And we rented a Mears van to take us to Universal Studios for a day and to Sea World. There were 7 of us and they would have an extra large van decorated with Mickey Mouse over the entire exterior . Here is my question that I have always wondered about. Is it a coincidence or planned that the Mears name could be named after Mickey Ears= MEARS?

Back in the day our favorite souvenir was a Mickey Mouse hat (beanie with Mickey ears) that had our name embroidered on as you wait and watch. Really a super throw back to the original Mickey Mouse Club TV show from the 60’s.

You have to bring it yourself. Even when the Magical Express was around in its final years, they stopped dropping off your luggage at your room for you because of COVID

Unfortunately I have no experience returning to Mco with mears for a flight. To my knowledge if you’re flying in and making a reservation at MCO like I did you can make it round trip and schedule your return shuttle back. You can also schedule round trip online if you book ahead. I’m not sure if anyone at Disney can schedule it for you
