I really look forward to this lecture Mr. Oak deserves all the recognition as a scientist with the way he researches the original Mahabharat text and puts it into perspective with the contemporary scientific research results in the fields of geology , astronomy and oceanography. The timeline that can be created with validity using the contemporary scientifically researched evidence gives the interesting match to the Mahabharata’s content and claims regarding its inherent calendar. Mr. Oak discusses this evidence in many of the lectures online and in his books for the scientific community and us mere mortals to look into it. This particular lecture about “Kali Yuga” is special to me because Kali Yuga is used not only as a calendar term but mainly used as a term for the spiritual quality of an epoch. “ Kali Yuga “ is mostly used as a term that describes the spiritual quality of a timeframe , I think I am correct that to almost all of us Kali Yuga is known as the name for a specific timeframe with very specific spiritual characteristics. And if the dating of the Kali Yuga’s beginning is validated at 5527 BCE and no longer at 3102 BCE I think it is an appropriate question to ask: ¨How is and was it possible that in the spiritual teachings by so many historical as contemporary spiritual leaders they didn’t pick up on the time qualities claims not matching. As the claim of the beginning of the Kali Yuga is off by more than 2000 Years.“ Especially for the contemporary claims of perceivable epochs I think it makes quite a difference to use the „Yuga“ terms with correct or incorrect dating And of course, the follow up question in which epoch are we today and since when comes with the territory. That our world is for a long time now in a cruel and difficult mess is not even necessary to say. For any reliable use of a spiritually defined term such as “Kali Yuga” to support a claim that Kali Yuga was and would be perceivable time quality of an epoch, correct dating as well as the aspect I try to point out matters. For the correct dating and so many other aspects of the historical texts that came down to us Mr. Oak‘s work is second to none, so I look forward to learn a little bit more with the upcoming lectures

Great research by the young and promising researcher. Mahabharata reference: Kaliyuga started on the last day of the war and in Pushya (connects well with 5561 BCE) conflicts with Balarama returning from pilgrimage in Shravana to watch the Mace fight. Wishing Mr. Rao, a bright future.

True. Balarama returning on Shravana conflicts with rest of the 300+ Astronomy and calendrical evidence of Mahabhart text, in addition to 100+ Yuga related evidence of the Mahabharata text If one sticks to Balarama returning on Shravana, one must give up entire Mahabharata evidence. Balarama returning on Shravana has alternate explanation based on internal evidence of Mahabhart text.

@@NileshOak ji, Thank you very much for the rejoinder. Yes, you are correct in your assessment of the dilemma faced by any researcher. It is a matter of the difficult choice the researcher needs to make. Use Jyeshtha/Pushya combo or to choose Mrigashira/Shravana combo for the first and the last day of the war. Since, the event is unique the date needs to be unique. Therefore, which selected combination gives correct date is भविष्य के गर्भ में. Regards

Hello Nilesh ji. The Buddha that is being referenced in Garuda Purana could be in relation to the Bauddha Rupi of Vishnu who appeared before Vasishta to teach him of the Upassana Paddhati of a Mahavidya. References are Rudrayamala (chapter 17), Brahmayamala (patala 1) and Tara (1.2) Tantra Shastras.

I have an astronomical reference from Bhagwat (this is told by an Astrologr on KZbin) - If this is not analyzed then kindly please analyze this also. Bhagwat, 12th Skand (session), 12th Skand, 17th to 21st Verse (Sholka), & Verse 24 describe next Avtar of lord Vishnu. Verse 24 (12th Skand, Bhagwat) states that - Satayug will start along with birth of next avtar will take place when Jupiter, Moon and Sun all 3, will enter together at same time, in Pushya nakshatra (same pada) and same Rashi So, using this reference, I hope you can find a date & time of start of Satyug and corroborate it with other references. Also, Verse 31 states that - Kaliyug starts when Saptarshi move in Magha Nakshatra

Kaliyug is over, this is sandhi kaal between kaliyug and satyug. Scriptures have mentioned kaliyug of 1200 divya varsh and which can be further calculated the way one want. But many saints in India have declared end of Kaliyug

According to Shri Yukteshwar Giri's book the Holy Science, Kaliyuga is over & we're living in about 400 ascending Dwapara Yuga.

I am aware of some of the contradicting things accepted by our Acharya with regards to timing of Vaishnava Sects in Tamil literature. Swami Nammazhwar was great mystic saint who sang over 1000 verses in devotion to Lord Krishna. The Vaishnav tradition says he was supposed to have born 47 days after the departure Lord Krishna. He refers to Lord of Thirupathi in many verses. He also supposed to have attained Mukthi in less than 40 years of his age like Adishankara etc As per Lord Venkatesa Purana, Lord Balaji came after Lord Krishna passing and Lord Krishna's Mother Devaki taking another Birth to fulfill her aspiration of seeing the wedding of the Lord. One twist here is during Lord Krishna time she is biological but for Lord Venkatesan she adopts him and goes for asking the hands of Padmavathi Amma. Here many logical problems araise. If Lord Balaji came after Lord Krishna it should be he must have come within those 40 years of Swami Nammazhwar. Devakiji should have born and grown to the age group of 50 plus as she is depicted as elderly women waiting. Not only that Padmavathiamna is supposed to be daughter of a King by name Akasha Raja, but nit available in any kings lineage etc. Here people following tradition explain by saying Swami Nammazhwr knows past present and future so he could have referred what is coming later. But what my humble submission is the great Acharyas were 1. convinced of cyclic time cycles and not considered as linear 2. For them the epoh start or beginning is only to do from Dharmic following. Meaning the 4 pillars in that only one pillar in Kali. 3.their focus is only in attaining Moksha and not worrying about the dates etc. The dates are important only for rulers from taxation etc that is why you have so many epoh such as Vikram, sali vahana etc. In the Panchang the moon's motion and Sun's motion were important to carry out certain farming related Vedic practises panchagni practises and that any way was not harmed by any of the changes in Chronology or start of epoh 4. Since from Mukthi point of view their need was only to understand the nature of self vis a vis with rest of the creation and the Supreme being, they stopped there. 5. My understanding is Panchang mattered more to those days Rulers and hence the epohs start with Ruler name and the Spriritual Acharyas were not focusing their energy on the uncertain worldly things but took it for granted and moved on even though they are aware of Mahabharata references to Pushya Nakshatra etc. Basically the epoh were nit their priority and they did not wanted to pickup fights with the rulers of their time to not waste time their but to propagate Dharma and Darshana

On this argument of "interpolations" of Mahabharat text..... if there is interpolation, then the astronomical references can not still point coherently to same timeline of astronomical references. In other words, interpolation should have tweaked those references randomly, such that one reference would point to X BCE and the other reference would point to few centuries or millennia before or after X BCE 🙏

Important date is "18 Feb 3102 BCE " . Purana claims as follows Chronologically 1. Sri Krishna Achived the Nirvana state happened on this date I.e. on Ashwini Nakshatra was after war. Kali yuga began on this date. (This is myth 😒 ) Chronologically 2. Kaali yuga began after 36 years of this date. This is Myth . Connection of this date with Mahabharata is not correct . 4. Buddha was born ---------------------------- Astronomically, Kaali yuga began Ashwini Nakshatra. 3012 BCE. Bhaskara charya 1. Note = Errors as : As per Mahabharata, only one claim, Kaali Yuga began on Pushya Nakshatra. Nothing else . This is not correct n unacceptable for Kaali yuga began
