Interesting you say that Shark. I was initially thinking I had that situation exactly. Then I started reading that actual Hi King Fin lyretails are considered sterile, mainly due to their long fins interfering/in the way of their gonopodium; preventing them from inseminating the females. I would love to be wrong about that please let me know! I've pretty much sold them all but I know where to get more! Thank you for taking the time. Much appreciated.

@@2tenaquatics Hi Sir I'm no expert but there's a different. King Lyre and male lyretail are not the same. Both are fertile males however only the King Lyre (having short normal size gonopodium) can successfully mate and sired more King Lyre. As for lyretail only lyretail females can pass on the genes and make more lyretail offsprings. You can cross King Lyre male to regular female and get King Lyre with short gonopodium. If you cross lyretail females you can potentially get 3 to 4 different types. Normal, King Lyre, lyretail with long gono and possibly some hifin.. Genetics and fry survival will vary your results but that pretty much is the observation and results. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
