Great video again. I recommend that you place your lights down the middle of the isles. It will make it brighter without having to get more lights. I put down a 3rd register for me to run and it wasn’t lined up with the other two and was bothering me so I started to move it and there were 2 people in line and they walked over to one of the other registers to check out. Also I think you’re going to enjoy the update. It’s pretty nice and shows the dev has been listening to the community on QoL issues also.

Gotta say, it does seem like you make less when the prices keep going down. But hopefully the dev will change that so it’s not so brutal. And it’s still awesome to see the store upgraded more and more. Also, those end caps really make the place look so much nicer. 😊

Taking out loans at the point where you are in the game doesn't really make sense. Just run it for 2-3 days and without that loan payment you end up making more than the loan gives.

Yup, taking loans is a risk in game and irl but when done correctly they're very useful

There should be a cap on how low base price can go like an item costs $4.50 base prices. If rng tries to put it lower than $3.50, it would trigger a code to rest it to the base prices of back to $4.50

So strange how it can be interesting to watch somone play a game about stocking and running a supermarket 😅. I'm thinking it be awsome if this game came with a "fake " new letter each morning that would have fake things going on that would possibly effect pricing and what's saling like "it's big game day" so soda and chips would probably fly off the shelves or "misery illness spreading wash hand and sanitize to help prevent spread" which would cause hand sanitizer and bleach or cleaning supplies to go quickly. Or it's Easter so the eggs would go. That would be interesting and add a tiny bit of realistic story and background to the supermarket world 😅. Could even add occasional things happening that would cause things to not be purchased at all or whatever like a recall on mozzarella cheese or something so people would likely avoid purchasing that that day or might even have to toss all the stock of that item your purchased already. also think it would be hilarious if they did have shoplifting occasionally and sure they could add things going bad but if they do that thre should absolutely be a way to toggle it on and off because yeah it would be so incredibly frustrating if things went bad expesally when on self already unless the stocking person is extremely good about it or the a.i always grabs the oldest first no matter what so atleast once on selfs it should be ok but you would need to be more cautious about over stocking or having alot of xtras . Cause yeah in reality you don't need a entire freezer for each item. Some items probably only need on or two self worth of stock on display plus it would cause you to maybe have a sale one day because you know that what you have might go bad if it doesn't sale soon. But that can only be implemented if things like sale price and other things actually make a difference. If putting it on sale doesn't incentivise the customers to purchase it or purchase more than it be lame. It could definitely have more interesting things going on if they added in game world events that effect the sales though. Even if it's stuff like certain times and days of the week you won't get as many people and others you might have everyone and there momma coming by. I'm just imaging it in my head and think it be great. Like maybe they have a Armageddon type of scare so everyone comes and trying to buy allot of items that people usually do doomsday store up like toilet paper. Idk 🤷‍♀️

I believe only some items will spoil so worst case you hope the stocker comes first, keep a small stock of the items that do expire and have them constantly re stock it

the customers will go to the next available register if you pick one up when they are there. I know a store manager who said he gets 50+ pages a week of price changes.

that's weird cause I saw someone test the lights and there was around $30 difference when they did it. of course it could have changed since they did it. if the stockers rotate the products it won't really effect you.

Btw, you don’t need to start a new game to check prices, just watch your first episodes 🫣😂 Also, correct me if I’m wrong… but the prices for ORDERING are also changing with the fluctuations of prices? So when lowered you should buy a stock. When higher you shouldn’t buy more than just enough. That’s what I think at least? I don’t know if I’m right.

I wonder if its a combination of things? Meaning, you spent $250 on that case of tea. You haven't sold that many yet, I don't think, to recoup the large investment and turn a profit on that $250. I wonder if there are more of those? And secondly, I agree, it seems like there's been a bunch of items that took a price plunge and never recovered. I wonder if it does that to help you get through a few days to help with the new item and shelf/fridge costs. I think it'd be interesting to map out if you try it in an offline(or stream) new game to verify your suspicions. Do the NPC's walk through each other(wondering about aisle spacing)? Would that have any impact on what the customers buy? And shame there isn't a setting to set your paid cashiers as priority and yourself for "overflow".

It might be hard to control, but when a price decreases...the product you purchased at the higher price should not be reduced. maybe wait for that shelf to clear then restock and reprice.

loans are killers, same as in real life lol. I wouldnt take out a loan for things like expansions and licenses... just wait another day or two to make the money you need. otherwise you are giving like 500 dollars plus away to the bank. also the employees are expensive. if you can handle the cashier duty yourself you can be saving 160 per day. once you have a bigger store having employees will be necessary though

It would be nice if you could look at the computer and it tells you how much of each product has sold and how much of that product you have left, and it tells you when the shelves are full but it would be nice of it told you when the box is empty
