Love the detailed information on how to make the palomino colors, and also adding tone on tone. Also, the emphasis on simplistic shapes. Looking forward to Part 2 of this great painting.

watched you painting this a few times as i like to understand the colour mixes you do for the painting to look so good, already preparing this to draw and paint. I hope to do this some justice! thanks David

👋Hi David, thanks. - Wow, that's just what I like, cowboys and cows. It's not exactly the "Vindicator" from the Western feat. Brian Keith and James Stuart, but it is a Hereford. I like those the best, they look so harmless and peaceful with their white "face". A brilliant introduction to what is sure to be an excellent final painting. Looking forward to part 2, have a good weekend. 👍💐

Thanks Cora. Yes, you can replace the cows with more herefords as well. I painted them in several other videos. Just fun painting. Have a great time!

Sorry to jump off topic. But I was looking at your work on jansenartgallery and really liked painting 140/425 if possible could you us a brief history of it? When it was done, how long it took, was it a painting lesson or a commissioned piece, etc...

That painting is from our S102 Online course Art of Landscapes. It took about 6 hours to paint while teaching. It was sold shortly after it was painted. Thanks!

@@JansenArtEducation Cool! Now I know what to ask for this Christmas. The online course, the time to do it, and the talent to make it look as good. 😀
