C P Frederick of Denmark suffered great loss when Queen Ingrid died. She was his protector and familial support esp in his tender yrs as Queen Margrethe was suddenly thrust into the duty of Queen. I would imagine he still misses her loving guidance at times! I'm 68 and still sometimes miss my "oh so loving" Grandmother!

@20031200 The swedish King is Queen Margrethes cousin. The norwegian Kings great grandfather was danish prince but became King of Norway in 1905.

she was the brother of the current king of swedens father that died in his early 40s, she is the auntie of gustav of swden,

He died in a plane crash in 1947. A huge tragedy and an immense loss as he was the heir to the throne. The current king was doomed to grow up without his father. The crashed plane went ablaze and rescuers had a hard time identifying the bodies.

Claudie, the priest is very affected, you can hear it on his voice during the ceremony. And in emotion he forget som words. People think this is stupid, I think this is very touching, and prouves the Queen Ingrid was a very good and special person. It gave the whole ceromonu a very very personal flawor.

Klappen gik ned. Det kan ske for enhver. Det er derfor man har ritualbogen. Til hans forsvar kan siges, at han dels var dybt berørt, dels at han, som konfessionarius og professor i praktisk teologi, ikke var lige så rutineret som en gammel, garvet sognepræst ville være. Godt dronningen kunne sufflere.

She told me she was Ingrid of Sweden. A real country I had heard of. Denmark seemed then size of Copenhagen. Length of a few airport runways. Even Danish girl sat like a mermaid on a different rock at seashore as Ingrid did. Norwegian another kind of real country. Denmark seemed like an airport and shale seashore. In length.
