We have had in the past, cats that have chosen us as a servant. But Bowie is another story, we bought him from a breeder. Bowie is a Ragdoll cat with all the characteristics of a Ragdoll cat. We have a lot of fun filming Bowie's typical Ragddoll's ways of doing things. We frequently receive comments from people who see similarities with their own Ragdoll cat in Bowie, some people discovered through Bowie's videos that their Rag doll cat has properties that many Ragdolls have.

Bowie is a BIG BOY! Biggest Ragdoll I've seen. I have a female, named Maddie, but she is very petite, and I'm pretty sure she didn't get a full Ragdoll gene. She doesn't like being picked up, and you can only pet her when she wants to be petted. She does like being brushed...if you can catch her. She's very pretty and very sweet. She comes and sleeps on my bed every night and stays there until I wake up.

I adopted a kitten from Petfinder this year and he certainly seems to be a Ragdoll. He does ALL the behaviors that you show Bowie doing, but he is actually MORE floppy (hard to believe, but true). He is a Blue Lynx Point with beautiful blue eyes, super fluffy neck ruff and very floofy tail. I love him so much!!! His name is Kitten Chow 🤣

My ragdoll is obsessed with the ice maker on my refrigerator. Every time she hears the clinking of ice cubes in my glass, she comes running and sits there begging for an ice cube. I give her one and then she kicks it around on the hardwood floor like a hockey puck.

I had a ragamuffin that did the same thing...limp when I’d pick him up..loved hugs and kisses...misses me after 5 mins of being gone...and his tail would curve back over his back...I loved that cat so much and miss his sweet personality and squishy lovable self...he past away Easter Sunday without warning from a genetic kidney disease...I love seeing these videos...ragdolls and ragamuffin cats are the best cats in the world

I agree. I have a Ragamuffin cat. She is glorious! She is a blue-lynx with ghost ticking. Her fur is very long and she even has longer fur right where angel wings would be located. She is my angel from heaven (as I call her)!

Usually male rag dolls enjoy belly rubs way better then females. That’s probably why yours didn’t like this! Also, when the female is neutered it affects as she can act even more aggressive to this!

I lost my wonderful Ragdoll cat, Lucky, last year due to kidney failure. She was my best pal and companion for 18 years. I was offered her when she was rescued by Animal Control as a feral cat that was wounded. She was so loving and well behaved. I miss her so much.

Our ragdoll kitty Missy, talks constantly I love it!! In the early morning before the sun rises she meows at the patio door so I will scatter bird seed and open the slats so she can watch birds when they come to eat. She sets up her ‘ camp’ at 5:15 in the morning lol! She loves watching them. Sometimes when they all leave after feeding she gets bummed out so I play with her, sometimes I put the Cat Channel on You tube and she watches the birds there, completely content

I adppted a tri tip choolate ragdoll/siames mixed named samantha beautiful and loving ball of fluff, boy i really fell in love with her, when she passed way at 13yrs i was truly heartbroken! Vet. Gave me a 8 month old kitten someone had dropped off they could not keep him where they lived. He became my best friend for 10 yrs until his passing 2 yrs ago, i miss and loved them both like my 4 legged furry children since i have no kids they were there for me and i was there for them! Oh yes now i have peytonkitty a 2 yrs old black cat i got not long after cheesemoe passed april 2016, i had to wait 4 weeks before i could bring him home at 8 weeks now peyton is my son of terror lol love the lil shithead. But we belong to each other me dad & him sonkitty lol hope everyone has unconditional love from a great pet? Peytonkitty keeps me from going nuts & being lonely. Rest in peace all my previous furry children i miss and still love you all! Enough of me remembering my friends long gone, thanks all! It does help! Good nite my fb & youtube friends and family!

My son is also on the Spectrum, and we were lucky enough to be able to adopt a ragdoll from the OSPCA. She is very tolerant of him, very snuggly, playful, and just all around lovely. She does not enjoy being picked up, but I‘ve taught him that he just has to go to her, or allow her to come to him. Just seeing her come to the door makes him smile. ❤️ I hope you find the perfect kitty for your son.

We lost our beloved 1.5yr Turkish angora and she did exact the behaviors as Bowie - they have their ancestors' DNA indeed such as for the water, fetch, and their fur except my girl was thinner, more sportive, and an excellent mouser...After our mourning period, we are prob. aiming for a Ragdoll or two...

I named my rescue Ragdoll Desmond. My grand kids call him Desi. I've never had a cat that purrs EVERY time I pick him up or pet him! He follows me around the house, when ever i'm home. Gotta tell you about this one. My Nubie really dislikes my Black & Decker dust buster. She will growl, and stand her ground when I use it, even for very short times. Once I laid it down, and she ran over and grabbed the plastic loop that you can slip over your wrist, with her mouth, and started to drag it away, I was using it in the master bedroom, I figured, let her go, and see what she had in mind. She dragged it into the bathroom and tried to drag it into her litter box!!! I think that (HONEST TO GOD) she was going to bury it there, thereby finishing it off for good!!! I think that is Darned smart for a cat!!!

You're not alone. Angel, my adopted cat is 17 years old according to the shelter my friend adopted her from in 2005. Back then, they said she was 4. At the last vet checkup, her bloodwork came back, and the vet was amazed. She told me that Angel had the blood of a 7 year old cat, and she looks incredibly healthy. I was so amazed, and I'm so grateful, too, because I almost lost her to a very serious uppper respiratory infection last year. Now, she's so much healthier, and I believe God granted her and me a miracle! She was annointed with Holy Oil and Holy Water, and I also gave her a bowl of Holy Water to drink. With that and the medicine and lots of serious, intensive loving care, she is gorgeous! How I'd love to give her a friend, but I just can't afford two cats right now, because I'm on a fixed income. God willing, we'll have several years together and then some. Thanks for letting me share.

I could happily watch Bowie for hours. He is divine. We pick up our baby ragdoll, Monty, in a few weeks time. He's a lilac pointed boy. Is Bowie a lilac or a blue? Would love to know what you feed him. Our breeder recommends a combination of raw beef and dry biscuits. Her ragdolls are big and beautiful, just like Bowie. 😻

Mine was a rescue from an animal shelter and I think he had some rag doll in him as his personality, size, etc was just like a rag doll. I lost him when he was a little over 9 years old and want to get another one, but hoping to rescue from a shelter instead of a breeder.

Got an eleven year old from the shelter.! Was told she was a domestic long hair. She looks like a rag doll except she has tabby colouring with white belly, legs, and that hourglass marking on her face. Wedge shaped head. She has lots of rag doll traits. That soft fur on the belly. Belly pouch Docile Affectionate Obsessed with water (can often be found in the tub) And above all she goes limp when held. I’m thinking she’s a rag doll mix of some sort.

I love Ragdolls, my concern is because they have such a fluffy coat, am I going to have fur from one end of the house to the other? It's not a deal breaker in the slightest I'm just curious. I would brush them regularly.
