It's a sad day when a bow breaks but what a crafty way to pay respect to it. Very nice

We always hope they will last forever and it's sad when a bow breaks, but they do break. The lamp is an excellent idea and turned out great. 🙂

Great idea Peter. You should make that a side hustle. With Bear quality nowadays you’d make a fortune!
@peterjuulsgaard6 ай бұрын
Hahaha great Idea 😂 but I would probably have to figure out a name for the bows, as Bear wouldent allow me to call it broken Bear bow lambs😂 anyways this method works for all brand one piece recurves

very cool way to salvage a broken bow, you have history with the bow and even those it was broken, you made it useful again. Well done Sir

@@peterjuulsgaard Are you sure it's a Supermag 48? That's a 48" AMO bow. Yours says 52" AMO, which makes me think it's a Kodiak Magnum.
@peterjuulsgaard6 ай бұрын
Yes it is a Supermag 48 even though it says otherwise. It’s also bought as a Supermag 48 back in 2013. The text on it are wrong too😂

😂 Very creative! Don’t know why but every time I have seen a bow breaking it has always been a Bear bow. Pure coincidence? …😬🤔
@peterjuulsgaard6 ай бұрын
Well I think this model holds the record for lamp material. All bowyers are running a risk with a 48” bow

I wish i had done that with my broken bow. It was my first "real' bow a Cravota Brothers Black Hawk. Over the years I used it to teach multiple people how to shoot then one day it just gave way while hanging up strung. I held onto it for years looking for a good way to use it but eventually threw it away when I moved :(

@peterjuulsgaard6 ай бұрын
The bow is best for short draw archers. If you draw it longer than 27” there will be a risk over the years. But it is a cool bow

The NEW Bear super magnums are SHIT! I had two of them and they both blew up on me, pure JUNK! The old vintage Bear Super Mags were of much higher quality.I bought one back in the early 70's and shot it for over 40 years! When Fred Bear died so did Bear Archery. You should have sent that bow back to them and had them replace it. You would've gotten another piece of inferior shit but it might have lasted you a year or two? The Bear Archery company today is a JOKE. If Fred Bear could see the inferior junk they're turning out today he would turn over in his grave!

I have a vintage Grizzly 1974 and that’s a good one.
