Actually without her realizing it, she definitely fulfilled the theme bc the Gilded Age was about gaudy excess, opulence, and extravagance. Even her silhouette was reminiscent of the fashion towards the end of the era, which removed the bustles and poufy sleeves. Marie Antoinette belonged to the Rococo Era which was a completely different era that existed a century before the Gilded Age. After Rococo came Neoclassicism, these 2 eras often get confused with the Gilded Age and idk why, their fashion is completely different.
