How dare you question the legitimacy of that missle scene? The missles were obviously attracted to Owen Wilson's charisma and great acting. There is no excaping the pull of his charm!

@@grimreapers all things being equal, the simplest answer must be that the gravity of Owen's greatness pulled the missiles to him for the 5 minutes. Probably can blame him for needing Bruce Willis to blow up that asteroid. But, I did greatly enjoy your version of it!

I know nothing about aviation or DCS, but I'm addicted to GR videos. I'm curious who is the best pilot. I'm sure you're all good in different scenarios, but Matrix and Simba seem to always lead the way, and Cap is great too, smarter than the average bear, but quite easily distracted I think. Not surprising given how many hats he wears.

Take a realistic Movie, like Hot Shots, The Mother of all Films, they also have a Missile Chase Scene 😂😂😂
As a former tanker, we used "Beehive" as an anti-personnel round. APER-T ammunition M494 rounds for the 105mm gun on the M60 and M60A1, the 152mm gun/launcher on the M60A2. 8000 flechettes.... Nasty piece of work.

for your 'movie missile' you may also have to disable proportional navigation as most movie missiles seem to be pure pursuit guidance. edit: i think this will actually make the missiles harder, they wont pull lead on you, but they also wouldn't be duped into the ground or throw a fit just because your nose twitched.

Thank you for revisiting B E L, this is AMAZING to go indepth on the movie! I wish the Sam circle had been far bigger, arena was so small lol. I've seen a lot of DCS videos where are the best missiles in DCS that turn /follow , that like the Behind Enemy Lines Strela misses did, seem to be the IRIS-T and AIM9X AAMs(obviously the off-boresight capability , letting them loop around) . You should use those as SAM missiles, slow their top speed down a lot, give them the 5 minute burn time , and had everyone in Hornets , or better if possible Supethornets with RIOs. Have a few Strelas be the ones shooting them(for authenticity LOL) - For the bonus objective, Overfly a enemy location (movie style)- and for extra points Kill a Strela or two that engages you , to show how behind enemy lines should have gone LOL. Or the team competes to rack up Strela kills all at once(arena circle needs to be far bigger lol ) /Behind enemy lines challenge Dark, your modding skills are absolutely amazing, by the way!

The movie missiles are the dumbest smart missiles ever built. Somehow able to not get tricked by the absolutely massive fireball of 2 fuel tanks exploding. Also smart enough to not be fooled into the ground or trees by the same maneuvers that Matrix was using in the Spit. But then somehow not smart enough to proximity fuse when scraping the wing during the head on pass.
