Ali Boulala lived in Lyon for many years and filmed a lot of his Flip's "Sorry" video part there in '01 and '02.

People need to stop just writing shit on Ali, he is a really rad person and allways will be. What happened, did happen. WE can't get Shane back. Ali, did his time in jail. Fyi Shanes parents and loved ones didn't even want Ali to go to jail. It was not Ali's fault, it was atleast 50/50. Not even Ali's idea to go for a ride. And the shit just happened. He still have all the love in the world for skateboarding, and just trying to get his life back to normal after all these years. Nothing but love for this dude.

Sure, he was an alcoholic, but what all these bozos don't realize is that he had/has one of the best styles ever. His Sorry part is a goddamn classic.

He WAS sick. Now everyone thinks he's like Bam. As you grow your point of view changes on so many things. Back then I loved Ali's skating and style, nowadays I would be embarrassed to be like Ali.
@TheGrindkingboi10 жыл бұрын
I mean time changes the way a lot of people look at things but to me, Ali's style is still really sick. I don't skate anything like him but I just think it'd be cool if more people did.

His Flip part was one of the best and was a cult among me and my buddies, but watching this raw footage makes me think that he was just an alcoholic with some kind of problems like he always didn't feel right

Same thing I thought
@TheLAexplorer4 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I thought the first time I watched his part in Flip Sorry. My friends were cracking up laughing but it made me feel uneasy. Like, he's not a bad skater but he seems like he's just a pretty decent skater that got wasted and was filmed and put into the video almost as a joke. Funny thing is, years later, I can only remember his part and Geoff Rowley so I guess it must've left an impression on me. And needless to say, the Lyons 25 was hands down one of the most epic gap attempt in skateboarding history

I dont remember this video i just watched saying anything about the motorcycle accident. Cant enjoy a rad skater's crazy antics in the raw form? Thats whats weong with comment boards, they always have to focus on the negative, the worst of the worst, when all the sickness you could want is right in front of you. It's sort of devastating seeing people fight over this ali's life when im sure none of you were there the night of incident or even knew ali as a person. Quit being so judgmental and enjoy the man for what he was incredible and that was skateboarding.

I would pretty much choose to be dead, than having to live with this guilty conscience and brain damage for the rest of my life. not being able to skate, which is probably the only thing that Ali was good at. So even if Shane's death is his fault to a certain extent, don't worry.. he is paying it back until the end of time.
