I'm kind of bummed. I love DD's donuts, but always thought they were fried up fresh in each store. Now I know how our local DD manages with such a small kitchen area.

Ryan’s patience with the nincompoop interviewing him is commendable. He mentioned twice where the donuts were made before they arrived at the shop where he works. “So where are the donuts made before they come here?” I would have rolled my eyes and said, “Are you deaf? I’ve already told you twice!” Then she changes her mind about the filling she wants in the donut. 🤪

As it began, I half expected some guy in a suit (from a major network exposé program like Nightline) to interrupt and accuse the Shift Manager of trying to date a 14 year old girl. It had that feel to it. "Surprise, Ryan! You're busted. You can stop pumping that custard, and come with us."

Oh, this makes me sad. I just saw an article that said that Dunkin Donuts didn't bake their donuts fresh, and I posted a comment detailing my experience working there nearly 40 years ago. Yeah, well, That was a different generation. Everything was cooked fresh in the local store in those days. Not anymore.

Jeff Fuchs read my comment nuff said! P.s. they removed the trans fat in an october one pitiful year. And no longer carry the buttermilk doughnut. And when i wrote to them on there website my emails were sadly kicked! Now im furious and not polite! GRRRR! IDK how they stay in business or who buys this schit even! I guess they find people blindly being duped into buying the doughnuts. And if coffee or bkfast is the big idea they should call it DD's coffee shack hahaha! Cause the doughnuts SUCK!

It sucks indeed. When the manager makes mistakes, they don't say shit, when you do something, they all jump at your throat. Some coworkers are always arguing too. They're all ignorant as fuck. The manager jobs aren't that special either. They spend their whole lives serving coffee, also doing some duties of crew members. They act like its a white house job lmao

I used to work for a main DD and our boss owned 13 stores in downtown Chicago, what we did was make donuts for 27 stores and driver's would come at 2 am and would deliver to all 27 stores so that by opening time 5-6 am they would be ready to go fresh

All their donuts look exactly the same no matter where you go. Even if they had training and a step-by-step guide to follow, there’s no way they would come out looking EXACTLY the same alllll day, every day, at all locations. They are obviously factory made & they get a new shipment everyday & whatever they didn’t sell for the day gets thrown out

He handles everything with the same gloves. This is not how it is supposed to be. Proper glove protocol is wash and dry hands, put on gloves, handle the food. remove gloves and throw them out.
