I took my family on a tour today and we just loved the Gillette Castle. What a unique mind Gillette had to have created such a home!

I think this was my favorite tour of them all. Not only were the rooms interesting, but the facts about Mr. Gillette were fascinating. Just imagine how entertaining it would it have been to have known this man during his lifetime?

I believe Gillette made all these gadgets himself with the latches and what not. I was there many years ago; it’s a lovely but slightly spooky place.😊

Thank you for the tour of my 5th cousin's (4x removed) home. He was an amazing dude. Wish I looked like him. B. Gillett

According to the polls 586 viewers want the railroad rebuilt!!

94 years ago, William Gillette spent $50,000 on the railroad. 14 years ago, we spent $10,000 to just restore the outside of one engine. How much will each of those viewers contribute towards the cost of the project?

The train bridge (now just a foot bridge) leading towards the tunnel has been structurally unsafe and closed off for almost 10 years. The cost to restore it is six figures. We have a few other things higher up on the ole to-do list.

1965 My father & me, his son toured Gillette Castle and looked at the RUSTIC appearance. Not the usual fine castle he may have also toured in Europe. Their Advanced building technology and how fine it was, is why it stood. We may have not even been safe touring this Gillette Castle since it was too Rustic and would not STAND.
