Behind the scenes at our soap business: Trying out The National Shrinkwrap System for the first time

In today's video we are delving behind the scenes again!
We have recently purchased the National Shrinkwrap system in order to wrap our bath bombs in a protective, eco-friendly film. In this video, we will be talking a little about why we decided to use the National Shrinkwrap system for our bath bombs and why we felt it necessary to package our bath bombs in this way.
We will also be talking a little about the National Shrinkwrap system as a whole (especially focusing on some of the eco-friendly benefits that it has over regular shrinkwrap) and also showing you what is included if you purchase the system from them. We then move on to using the system for the very first time - we wanted to capture our first ever attempt at wrapping so that everyone can see what it is like to set up and use if (like me) you are someone who has never used anything like this before!
This video isn't as polished as some of our others because we were working things out as we went! Hopefully it will give you a real feel for what it is like to purchase this product, set it up and use it for the very first time (spoiler alert, it was actually really straightforward!)

Hi Anne, though I am just seeing you with this, I hope you can advise me from your experience of owning the national shrinkwrap system. I had been wanting to buy this for a very long time but what held me back is the question of whether or not I will be able to get the consumables easily here in the UK- i e the wrap itself and not a pallet wrap and one that opens up for you to be able to pop the products in as you have but all my search so far has proved negative as what I could find differs, so I have continously been using cello bags which takes more of my time, given the number of products I make. I will like to know whether you find getting the wrap here in the UK easy and if you do, where do you get them from, and do you get the biolefin ones plus price wise, do you find them reasonable. Sorry for all the questions but I will be grateful to hear from you on them. Also, how have you found using the equipment since you acquired it- has it been performing as good as one expects. I have made several enquiries on different UK forums but no one seem to be able to help other than to tell me to use cello wraps which I already do but I have been looking to make my work easier, hence the desire for the equipment, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw your video about it today. i am really really for this great upgrade. i will definetly reorder in ur shop and of course some of your new wrapped bath bombs. but i wanna know how to recycle it. do i put in the recycle bin or could i put it into the compost? it’s just a question for understanding. anne and wayne u r both great!!!!

Hello, You are best to pop it in the compost, but you can also put it in your regular waste. In landfill it will take approximately 18-24 months to break down completely, leaving no micro plastics behind.

You are welcome Wendy! Wayne has assured me he didn't cheat (and I believe him because there was no evidence of anything having been secretly wrapped!) I think the difference is that he used to work in a retail environment where he regularly shrink wrapped items, so he had a bit of a head start over me who has never shrink wrapped anything in my life! It is a shame that there is nothing like this in the UK, maybe one day!

I would not get into the habit of holding product while you use a heat gun.
