90% of the tables were way overpriced at the AZ state show. I wondered why they bothered to set up

Hate shows like this or the dealers who have super overpriced stuff and then say 'I trade but I only trade in my favor' My man, your cards are already so overpriced that it's already in your favor.

There is no 'training' with selling sports cards. Buy around 65-75% and sell for 90-100%. Its really not that hard if you have a place to sell like shows, whatnot, streams or trade nights.

A lot of people set up for networking and showing off their cards. eBay is the best way to sell cards IMO.

buys a card for $1700 @ 100% of comps. assumes it will sell for $2200 in 3 months no reasoning or logic. just will go up. the season will start bro. cool story

Dude has mega weird energy. Always flexing money and 'knowledge' but all he does is throw insane amounts of money at stuff and hope it works out. Dude's a fraud.

Sometimes when a vendor/dealer says they "don't need to sell it", it means that they don't want to deal with you. I could see a couple of vendors/dealers were like that. You can tell in their expression and their posture.

How do you buy it for $1,700 and sell it for $2,200 months later when the market for Hurts won’t go up that much? Just asking cuz I’m curious and trying to learn
@jsnike91

Nothing to learn, he’s just hoping that it increases. Cards only increase when the player performs, not just because the season is about to start.

I honestly believe dealers are just there to FLAM their cards AKA show off their cards with no intention of selling them.

I watched every snap Trevor Lawrence took last year... what exactly makes you high on him this year? This is where you "influencers" lose a lot of credibility. Please explain in detail what there is to like about him heading into this year?
@dwiii1635
@dwiii1635 6 ай бұрын
Hopes and vibes. Trevor's the king of mid. Best to sell his cards just before week 1 to the people buying the hype before he throws for a pick, maybe a TD and 200 yards for a 14-7 loss.

I don’t like him at all. I just like his value going up before the season because of how much he dropped. I can see the Jags picking up some pieces for him and drafting someone which will spike his value. I’ll be selling it all in august!

As a dealer sometimes you have to take a loss. My man should have excepted your offer. Sometimes you win and make profit and sometimes you lose and have to take the L. As long as you're taking more W's then L's then you're doing good. I was there set up in the back, I dont believe you came by my table. Would have for sure been able to make a deal.

Here's some advice to all those dealers saying they can't go that low on a card because they are in for more than the current comp. You're never getting that value back. You bought the cards not knowing what you're doing, now you're stuck. Take your loss and move on. You're wasting people's time by having cards "for sale" in your showcase that are priced 2x and 3x current comps. Also, if you're buying anything modern for "investing" long term, I got some news for you. Cards are currently overproduced and have been for 4-5 years now. Modern day junk era. You'll find out in 10 years or sooner.

Lots of stuff in this comment but the thing that stuck out are dealers who have 2x 3x of comps and never willing to work out a deal. Whats the point of setting up? Just clueless, waste of everyones time.
