To John Force Racing, Long, Long, Time FAN. I’m writing this for my wife… At 18yrs old (1982) I raced a 1967 VW Bug at Fremont Drag Raceway, CA. before it was torn down and rebuilt as Silicon Valley’s Suburbia Corporate Buildings. My Bug was quick for a VW, High 11’s in the Qtr mile and gave Camero’s and Stang’s a run. That didn’t stop there, NHRA, HDBA (National Drag Boats) CART (Indy Cars) I just loved watching racing at the track. I Married my love in Dec 1990. I took her to her first NHRA event on her birthday in July 1991 at Sonoma Raceway, CA. She was hooked… Smoke, Eyes tearing from Nitro, The Sounds, and the Racers (not being Pompous) but truly engaging with the fans. At one of the pits, my favorite drag racer, who I brought her to see, John Force, was greeting fans… I yelled from three rolls back, “Here is your newest fan”. He looked at her and shouted, “Come over here” Asked her name, She stated “Jules” , “John states: “are going to root for me”? She stated Yes and she stated that it was her birthday. John signed her shirt, “Happy Birthday” and my wife was hooked… We had our 1st child in 1991, and the second in 93. Life catches up. We took them to Sonoma in 2001 to see the Friday qualifying and Candles Lit with Nitro Funny Cars and Rails. Now, 34 year later, My Son bought tickets for Friday Qualifying / Night Candles for his mom who is going to be “66” yrs old on July 29th. He wants to surprise her with the ticket. He asked her, “Mom” you have worked so had in life, when are you going to retire. She stated, I’ll retire when John does… So my ask to you, John Force Racing, My son bought tickets for his Mother to see John again on Friday July 26th, 2024 for qualifying. Can we set up a time for John “BIG ASK” to shout out to one of his biggest fans for 32 yrs to sign her shirt once again for her birthday and for the love of Force racing? This would be a big surprise for my wife and my son. They have no idea that I’m making this ask If videoed it would make for a Great ESPN moment. Thank you, Loving Husband, Kirk 925-352-4353

The amount of horse power, for the slicks to expand like that on the dragsters during their burnout, is mind boggling to me! I know it takes a lot of fans to keep the seats as full as possible at each event, and anything to keep them interested is key and why the fan meet and greets are so important, though with everything going on behind the scenes leading to each race it really impresses me how the drivers can block all that out and stay totally focused for such short quick runs...very impressive. Anyone else ever think about how you can care so much about a whole family, that you've never actually ever met in person...and want them to all be super successful and also very safe in this very dangerous sport?

I see my buddy Nacho is still there, and how about Bron Stomen, that was cool.
A big Force fan, and seeing Brittney saluting the National Anthem just increased my admiration for the team.

I’m pretty sure these videos are just promos for sponsors recapping the weekend. Just a better presentation than a phone call or email Monday morning. It’s amazing that Clay Millican just points and shoots and gets gold then there’s these videos that don’t do any justice to the drag racing fan. No one cares what music is playing when there’s a nitro engine running. Go watch some Nitro America videos, you don’t even have to like racing. The way they are shot is like a beautiful orchestra with camera angles and the sounds of the drag strip. The videos are definitely getting better when the cars are running. Hopefully someone gets the message eventuality that you don’t need any music, just nitro and speak from the heart 🤷♀️

@@mooneyes109 Very well said. I forgot to write in my first comment that the video is good. I love nhra drag racing, an to add the music is just somber. The atmosphere with the cars an people is exciting.
