It's a woven fish trap, fish swims in for bait but can't swim out, I've got an antique one. See the long handle, it's kinda like a circular net but it's wicker.

Hey, great vlog. Makes me wonder if I should make one myself. Wouldn't challenge this one for interest but I'm sure the process would be educational.

Restoring is art, with each restoration you breath life into poor sad art pieces and you see the beauty and revive it.

I spotted The Lord's Prey on canvas uses the words ''them that '' in place of ''those who'' and I had thought dumbing down the English language was a recent thing . Thank you for making such interesting videos Mr. Bloomfield. I'm looking forward to more in 2025 . Keep up all that good work.

All languages including English, are fluid and always evolving over time (sometimes unfortunately, IMO). It's why most people can't read and wouldn't understand "Beowulf".

There is quite a few changes in the prayer, even from when I was a child in the 70's

We read Beowulf in old English in middle school, forget which grade. New York, Arlington School District, late 70’s. A few of Chaucer’s tales too.

Glad your holidays were restful! What a year you had in 2024! @1:50 - I thought the object to the left of the woman might be a large seashell? But what really caught my eye was the white-ish thing above and to the left of that. I cannot not see it as a monster's face, with a sharply pointed nose. The "rock" to its right almost looks like a paw or hand. Probably just my vivid imagination, but wow.😉

It’s been great fun watching you in 2024 and I’m anxious to follow you in 2025. The art fair and its great venue looked like a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed seeing your painting of Manchester, beautifully done, and congratulations on its sale. Here’s to 2025 and raising a virtual glass to you! Happy new year sir!
