My four sons were home-schooled, so glad you are finding the freedom and joy in it. We never took the summer off but we usually only schooled 4 days a week and then did road trips over 3-day weekends. Of course, when the Navy moved us, we were way more flexible on missing school for other adventures. We moved to Washington State from New Orleans so I feel your Cajun food pain. I really enjoy your videos. Chatty with all sorts of interesting information. Thank you for sharing.

That trip sounds amazing. I haven't been to the rain forest, but I have been to Victoria a few times and had high tea there. It's been 40 years since I've been to the Butchart gardens, but I remember how beautiful it was.

Victoria also has an insect zoo that’s cool. Also, if you rent a car, there are so many great little seaside towns (Sidney, Chemainus, Ladysmith, Cowichan Bay, Tofino!). I’m heading back there in Oct to visit family.

I live west of Pueblo. We used to have a nice french restaurant that served gumbo and other Cajun things like that. A very good restaurant so maybe check out french restaurants in you area.

I’ve been in Colorado for 8 years and it’s never been as hot as it has this summer, it’s been crazy hot. Also where I am. The thrift stores have gone up to insane prices. I can still find some bargains, but my goodness! It’s ridiculous!

I really miss home schooling and being with my girls all day. But this week I've been in Charleston watching the grand babies while they(parents...not the babies LOL) pack to move. I'm exhausted !! LOL But I'm looking forward to thrifting my way back home on my 4.5 hr drive ! I still haven't mastered my organization yet. Hopefully this winter . Thanks for the inspiration !🤩 Also, we can't get decent ethnic food in Western North Carolina 😢 !
