If you can't see what we're talking about at 1:31 it's because of KZbin compression. Without the compression Alyx's (and the subsequent desert's) textures are so high resolution that they're incredibly grainy to the point that they flicker. I still don't know the technical reason for why that seemingly only happens in the Source engine. I love seeing the inner workings of the channel, and seeing how much fun you have making each scene of your videos. It isn't some difficult duty, it's a time when you hang out and laugh, (and encounter problems with the software, but still).

Yeah we had a lot of fun making this one, but a lot of the other machinimas we made were slogs. Every machinima has fun moments though, but the vast majority of this one in particular was fun. I'm still not really sure what dictates which machinimas we enjoy making or not if I'm completely honest. I think a lot of it has to do with all the recent updates Gmod has received that's made it much easier to use and much more stable than it used to be when we first started using it for this kind of a thing.
