Switzerland keeps falling in odds and now they are trying to reverse that by uploading such videos which nobody asked for. But something tells me that the clip from Friday gave people the wrong impression and that Switzerland will rise again in odds after SF2. At least that's what I hope, Switzerland deserves the trophy in my opinion.

who cares about the odds? it's mostly made by true fans of eurovision and the majority of the viewers watching the contest will hear all of these songs for the first time, so I'm sure Gjon will captivate a lot of attention because his voice and the song is just amazing. I'm sure the staging will be great too.

For someone with no dancing experience, this step is HUGE for him and I'm so proud of our boy for doing this. It's just either the direction of the camera work and the angles of how it's being shown that butchered his effort. My theory is they could've purposely done this to level the competition (by shooting from unflattering, 'covering something' angle), since Gjon is among the favorites to win, and they don't want to put all the cards on the table. They want to shock everyone during the SF on how impressive it actually is with significantly lower expectations. Gjon is doing really well and many people expect SO much from him. This probably made him really nervous. I believe Gjon and SJB would appreciate constructive feedback about toning down the movement to fit the vibe of the song, camera work, lighting etc. But some of the commentaries saying how he shouldn't have danced at all, how the suggestion to dance is horrible, even going as far as saying he should be sat down by the piano or not even moving around at all are insensitive at the very least. He looks very happy - albeit obviously nervous - to try things out and being outside his comfort zone. I believe in the rehearsal videos he was also anxious, which might be the reason why some of his movements are too amplified (this happens a lot with beginner dancers) If he gets a chance to practice, practice, and practice again for the SF, I believe it's enough for both of them to smooth things out to make it on point and shut the haters :) Plus his enthusiasm would show during the entire thing. His clear enthusiasm alone would attract plenty of votes instead of singers that are clearly not devoted to their art.

It makes me sad to see these insensitive comments about his dance moves because he wasn't confident about dancing on satge AT ALL and now he's encouraged by his team and SJB and he's actually doing great!! As he said in one interview "Maybe I'll look ugly and people won't like it, but at least I'll try". He actually doesn't look ugly at all, he just chose another way to express his art than just to sit in front of the piano. Also, I'm sure the camera angles will be worked at and the final result will exceed all our expectations. 🥰

Hearing him speak french is so nice! When he speaks english you can see he's not completely into it, and all the interviews with him I could find were in english. Also you really don't realise how big the arena is until you are at eye level: that much space would really make me ansious, glad he can deal with that.
