This was the first episode of Doctor Who that I ever saw. I'm not sure if that was a good choice or a bad choice.

Scary? lol please, I was smiling the whole time! You just can't have the Doctor and be scared at the same time! He is too fun, too wise, too smart to have a true sense of fear...fear is a stem off of insecurity...and lets be honest. Doesn't the Doctor represent everything that gives security? He's the one who saves the day...the one that has the feel of what a child sees when they look at an adult. (And plus that childish and inquisitive side as well!) Best of both worlds; a great character!

Either start right from the very beginning with the unearthly child, black-and-white TV, and really grumpy young-man-trying-to-be-old doctor. Or start with the first episode of one of the doctors of the revived series having read up a bit to understand what you're watching. :) If you want to start right from the first episode ever made, I'm using a website called DailyMotion, it's like youtube except for, from what I've seen so far, for telly shows only. :)

I think, for me, it's because The Doctor is so calm..and also because I'm older. I mean, I'm 16, so.. young, but when I was like 8 or 9 there was that episode with David Tennant and The weeping angels where he records himself remember? Well anyways I was frightened with that. I wouldn't watch it again. I watched it again last year, didn't worry me at all. So either you're too old or perhaps you just aren't easily scared. I mean, Doctor Who can't be too scary..it's for families :)

When Doctor Who had the greatest Doctor..... Ahhh how times change... Now I know people will disagree as they always do but if you truly think about it the best of Doctor Who was from 2005 to 2012 Matt's stories began to fall along with the series after awhile and it impacted onto Peter's era Peter's last series was amazing and now we have to wait and see how everything pans out with our first female Doctor.... I honestly think the show is falling deeper and darker into a pit of failure but if you look back at the show's history it has done before... Jodie may be wonderful but at this moment in time, I doubt her and the show and the BBC very much. "NOTE - THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING SEXIEST"
