A short film for Milly would be cool. The story could go like, " Milly and her family struggles financial things at home, they were poor but enough to afford a cramp up apartment for both her dad, mom and grandma to live in. She grew prettier and prettier as she grows us and one day her parents encouraged her to find a rich man to they would not have to live this way anymore and so she did. She met James and soon fell inlove with both him and his money. Every time James gives her money, she would give atleast 60% to her family to support them. When she found out he was going to move to China with her, she was overwhelmed with joy as she could finally live a better life and her family would struggle less. Until she found out that James had another girlfriend, she was devastated and filled with anger. She is considering breaking up with James but that would mean she nd her family will have to face financial struggles again after some time. At this point she was thinking about to choose to stay with him and have a better life (and her family) and have a relationship filled with lies and betrayal or would she break it off with him and have her and her family struggle. She chose to stay with him and after some time, James was showing more and more of his true colors. He started to abuse Milly (slapping, kicking her onto the ground and etc.). After months of abuse, Milly finally had enough and broke up with him. She packed her things and left his house straight away. Once she left she realized what she has done and started breaking down. She blamed herself for not being strong enough to keep up with that for her family. When everybody was asleep, she snuck into her parent's apartment and left her luggage there so she can go out to drink alone. She walked to a local bar and drank there. a few seats away from her she notices a man who looked as he was also going through a ruff time. She went over to him and they chatted. Turns out he just got fired from his job and his girlfriend of 3 years dumped him right after he to her the news. They talked for hours before the bar closed. He offered to drive her back to her apartment and so she agreed. They exchanged phone numbers in the car before Milly walked off to enter the apartment building. The next day Milly calls the guy and they went out for brunch. They talked more about some personal stuff and got along well. After chatting for a few months Milly grew romantic feelings for him. The day before she was going to confess her love, the guy introduces his new girlfriend who just so happens to be the other girlfriend that James had. She was sad but she still congratulated them. The next day when Milly was out on the walk, she spots the girl with James hugging and kissing. Immediately she called the guy to meet. When they did, the guy didn't believe her and accused her for being jealous and trying to make them break up. (ok its like real late and I have to sleep so I'll continue tmr if I can)

continuing... Milly kept on tying to explain what she saw yesterday but the guy just wasn't believing her at all. Suddenly, Milly accidentally confessed her love the the guy. The guy was furious as he thought she told her this just so they can break up and she can be with him. The guy left the cafe saying " Maybe this friendship should have a break up." A few days later, she caught James and her together again, this time she took a photo but was sadly caught by the girl. The girl excused herself from James and went straight to Milly. The girl threatens her that if she shows that photo to the guy that she would ask James to fire her father from the Janitor position in his company. Milly stood there and immediately she decided not to show the photo for her parent's sake. Bills started piling up again and her parents once again could not afford it, so Milly decided to get a part time job, she managed to get a job at a cafe called "tenderbest" because of how desperate she looked during the interview so the boss thought maybe they could give her a go. Through this heartbreak, betrayal and struggles she is facing, she smiled through it all so nobody would find out. On her first day, she did well and satisfied the boss. The next day, when she arrived at work, she saw Madam Soot Beng sitting at one of the tables. Embarrassed, she slowly walks over to her table and asks for her order. Immediately Madam Soot Beng recognizes her as the girl James was planning to move to China with. After Soot Beng ordered, Milly walked away as fast as she could. When serving Soot Beng her order, Soot Beng asked why she was working here instead on being with James in China. Milly looked away sadly and immediately Soot Beng understood the situation. She asked her to sit down and explain what happened exactly. Milly explained how when she found out that James had another, she still stayed fro her and her family's sake. But after a few months, James started to abuse her and she had enough and broke up with him. Now she and her family is struggling with financial issues and she had to get a job to support them. Soot Beng asked " do you have anything that you're especially good ?" Milly replied " I do like writing (stories, poetry) but I don't think I'm very good at it." Soot Beng asked if she could bring her writings to the cafe the next day and Milly agreed. The next day, Milly handed over some of the writings (she writes her stories in her laptop) to Soot Beng and she was impressed. From the amazing grammar to the way she uses the words, she would feel the story's emotions. Soot Beng told her " Your writing skills are on point. You should consider being an Author or a poet which ever you like." Milly looked at Soot Beng and asked " Why are you so nice to me? I basically took your husband away from you even though I know he has a wife." Soot Beng replied, "After hearing what you're going through I felt there was really no need for me to hold a grudge against you. He is a horrible man who plays with peoples feelings and thinks he could get what he want because he has the money." The both hugged and Soot Beng left the cafe. When Milly went home, she opened her laptop and started writing her story. "A twisted tale to my so seem amazing life". In this story, she wrote above her struggles at home, her love life filled with lies and the romantic interest that ended with a heartbreak which she all kept hidden with just a simple smile on her face. After the book was published, it did not get purchases. She told Madam Soot Beng "Nobody is buying my book, I doubt they even will. Guess working at the cafe was better." Soot Beng said " Don't give up so easily, you never know what awaits for you." One day, suddenly she got tons of orders of the book. She was shocked to see her book was on number 2 trending. Immediately she called Soot Beng about it and Soot Beng just said "I knew it". Milly kept on writing different stories after another and soon became a quite famous Author. She could finally give her and her family a comfortable life. One day, while on a walk with Soot Beng, they bumped into James and he didn't look all that good. Turns out his company was taken down due to illegal money exchange. James begged Milly to get back with him and said he made a mistake and she was the only one she truly loved which was total lies. Milly knew what he was doing, she was planning to play with James like how she did but was stopped by Soot Beng who knew what she was thinking. She pulled her to the side and said " Don't be like James, just let it be, lets go". The both left leaving James standing there helpless. I kinda rushed the ending cause I don't really know how to end it but yeah-

I loved this short film, mainly because I’ve been through a situation like this before. I was in a similar situation as Vicky, in that my mom is proud of her job and was devastated at not being able to work at her lifelong career, and was separated from her husband (my dad) and he ended up prioritizing his own needs over his family’s. It nearly hit too close to home for me, and I barely had a dry eye throughout watching the video. So, thank you for doing this video in a way that I could connect with the characters and the story.

The fact that this is dedicated to all teachers and parents, especially for single parents, is that they captured the essence of what goes through them. Good job!👍 Ps. They forgot the fact that James is in short, egoistic and a chauvinist.

I am a teacher is a short film but I keep on watching it all over I really like the angles and the lines.Vicky standing up for her mom made me almost cry that was heartwarming and when her mom packed her things that made me cry.my favorite part when like madam soot beng turned to herself again 'just focus on your studies'made me like laugh a little bit.
